I'm real happy with Seattle picks ! We now have a legit TE threat and real good depth on the whole D-Line. With the O-Line solidified and fresh legs at RB I think we can give anyone a game !

Dumping Alexander could be more valuable than their entire draft.

LMAO, sad but true.

Liked the Falcons Draft.

If they get the right line to protect him, Ryan could help us in two years...

We drafted a UGA boy in the 6th round, woot! Thomas Brown baby...nice third down back and special teams guy.

dixon went to the steelers, where he'll probably be another steeler WR that was a former QB

and i dont know about atlanta drafting matt ryan. chris redman did real well behind the crummy o-line and i would have stuck with him while rebuilding the rest of the offense. the line still isnt very good, crumpler left, there arent any real wide receiver threats, and the running game is in reboot mode.

Know what makes me happy? Michigan is going to suck this year. Badly. I love it. That new spread offense is going to hamstring them for a few years at least. Sweet.

CHRIS REDMAN!?!?!? Come on man, that's a stretch at best. "did real well"??!?!?!? No. Did poor to adequate at best. Crumpler left but our running game should be stronger after picking up Michael Turner. Oh and Roddy White has really developed WITH a terrible QB situation. Over 1,200 yards and 6 TD's last year.

Ryan will be better than Redman could ever dream of being. Ugh. I'd rather they give D.J. Shockley a try.

redman had 1 bad game in 4 starts, and that was against the tampa defense which is always tough. 90 rating, 10 td/5 int(and without the tampa game its only 3 int and the rating is much higher), 60% completion, & over 7yds/attempt. 300+ yards in 2 starts, 250+ in 1, and the <50 in the real bad tampa start. considering he was bagging groceries or selling insurance or whatever id say thats a pretty good job.

comparing the small sample to the full seasons worth of stats, the 90 rating puts him 9th on the season leaderboard. the YPA puts him around 11th. 6.7 td% puts him 4th. he had nearly 1100 yards, which would extrapolate to around 4000 yards, which would put him around 9th.

honestly thats pretty good. might not earn him a probowl, but he did a real good job with a team that was real bad all year

I checked Roddy White's stats as I was sure they must be career totals but they were in fact correct (amazing :D ) ..... still you did omit his 3 fumbles :heyhey:

I thought the knock on the Falcons receivers was that though they were fast and could put up some numbers, they dropped an absurd amount of passes ie. Chad Johnson and the Giants receiving corps.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Having looked at a lot of so called expert analysis of the NFL I am amazed at the vast lack of knowledge regarding my own team the Seattle Seahawks.

Apparently we reached in round 1 for DE Lawrence Jackson a 6'5'' 270lb DE with 30career sacks who is very solid against the run ( 52 tackles for loss).

In round 2 we again did very poorly when we ignored the pundits choice of TE Fred Davis to pick the best NFL ready combination of blocker & receiver in John Carlson, hell what are we doing getting a guy that best fits our scheme, Madness !

Then it happened, the worst pick of the draft, the pick that will cost the whole front office their jobs we drafted a Long Snapper ..... yes a LONG SNAPPER in Round 6. Seattle had 3 long snappers LAST YEAR !!!!! I mean surely anyone can do the job OR you could draft a guy who never had a bad snap in 4 years on punts or FG, will have the job 10 -12 years ....DOH . Damn I wish we had gone after that backups backup LB now!

EXPERTS ..... what do they KNOW !!! Jack shit apparently.

I've never believed in Kiper's bullshit to draft the best athlete available. Nevermind the fact that he fills bios with lies and shit.

The best way to draft is to draft to your teams needs. If I had probowlers at every position except fullback I'd draft a fucking fullback in the first round.

It's like the people that say don't buy a house because the market is slumping. If you can afford it, you need it, and you like it, TAKE IT!

The word about the packers draft is they did pretty well, but everyone is baffled by drafting two quarterbacks. Well, we lost our starter, (bert fever or something like that, don't remember as he was kind of a flash in the pan kind of guy:D) and cut our third string guy for sucking. Which leaves a need for 2 qbs. Sounds solid to me.

its definitely the cheapest approach, but i think they do need a veteran on the roster

I don't know how much more veteran advice Rodgers can take. If he doesn't know the system by now, all hope is lost. Even if they brought in a vet, in theory Rodgers should know the offense better than him.

not necessarily advice.. just someone reliable if rodgers goes down. right now you have 1 guy with a little experience and 2 with nothing

This actually worked pretty well for the Niners for a long time - regardless of need, they just took the most skilled remaining player with their first pick. But that was when picking in later rounds was more hit-and-miss, and Bill Walsh was really good at the "hit" part.

Nowadays, talent evaluation is so over the top, you can't count on getting an edge by being good at evaluating later picks that your competitors might miss. If you need an OLB, you better damn well get the best you can with your first pick, because he won't be around later.

@Paladin---Look at the schedule and the type of games Redman played in. He is a backup at best. He is not a starter. There's a reason he's never stuck around in the NFL.

I don't have a problem with him starting this year until Ryan is ready, but in no terms is Chris Fucking Redman the long term solution at QB.

Having a running game will drastically help whoever is the QB.

About the receivers....there are 2 schools of thoughts on all those drops. First is the belief that they simply can't catch. Second was the thought that Vick throws a very "uncatchable" ball and is so erratic at times the receivers never got into rhythm with him.
