I wouldn't if I was the Bungles G.M. He said he'll play and be "twice as Chad Johnsony". While that'll be ridiculous, he can catch the foozball and that's important. They'll finish 3rd in their division so they don't really matter outside of what they do against the Browns & Stealers.

I dunno. So many times NFL teams will just ignore a player and then...BAM! trade him just like that. I could see him being moved....imagine him on the Vikings....

No! No good players to the vikings. It should be against the law.

and the fact that you still need a replacement TE or two, at least, can be bad.

Are you talking about the Saints? If so you are wrong, the Saints already had 3 TE's they use quite often, in fact they just released one because they now have Shockey. But if you are talking about NYG then you are indeed correct.

Quote

Shockey is a rare talent if he can just get his attitude adjusted. Now Drew Brees has ANOTHER target.

Attitude? Shockey's ex teammates say his approach to the game is just fine. He plays hard every snap, and they would all want him on their team. According to Tiki Barber and Plaxico Burress at least, and not Giant's GM's.

I've heard mixed reviews of Shockey's attitude. I think they should be more concerned with the broken leg he's coming off of.

Well, the NFL season officially kicks off tonight with my Colts playing the Skins in the first pre-season game of the season.

It'll be interesting to see the Colts with half of their best players missing.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

From what I've read, not tonight. Him, Manning, Freeney, Sanders, & Brackett will all be missing. The fact that they have 5 preseason games means that they might actually play less than normal preseason minutes to keep away the injury bug that devastated them last year.

Positions to watch:

Clint Session at Sam Outside linebacker.
Hughes & Jennings at 3rd Cornerback
Hall, Roby, Aromashadu at 3rd widereceiver.
Pollack & Johnson at guard for starting position.
Santi & Tamme at T.E.
Howard at DE, Curtis Johnson at DT
If Wheeler plays, whereever he is.
Garcon at PR, KR

From your lips to the Flying Spaghetti Monster's ears.

I forgot the biggest one:

Sorgi/Gray/Lorenzon for #2 QB.
And that should have read:
Hall/Roby/Aromashadu for 4th wide receiver.

You aren't going to want to hear this, but I hope Peyton misses just one game. I feel like eventually he might challange Favre's consecutive game streak, and we can't have that.

Good mind-reading there. I didn't want to hear that! :p

Peyton has played as a starter in every game since he has been drafted. Favre was still being a wild-hillbilly down in Atlanta his first year or so, so I think Peyton deserves the record! But, I'm not biased or anything.

If he does it, of course he'll deserve the record. I just hope he doesn't do it, is all! :p

Typical Colts pre-season game.

I was really impressed with Quinn Gray's abilities, and Sam Garcon looked good as well.

The Colts haven't won a pre-season game in 3 years now! Oh-no! :p

Nah, he was joshing around on the sidelines. There is just no way in hell they are going to take a chance in the first quarter of the first of FIVE preseason games. I'd be surprised if he saw more than 5 plays next week. Their backfield is crowded after Addai & Rhodes.

Good to hear. I didn't watch the game, WEC fights were on. Did Colt Brennan look pretty good?

Actually he was really accurate and played very well. That being said he was up against the Colts 3rd stringers. He should have had an interception, but beside that he did an excellent job.

As for Addai, I am confident enough that I wouldn't hesitate to pick him with my first round fantasy football draft pick.

Pick Westbrook. McNabb still has no receivers.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.
