yeah, I understand. it must be that New England blood getting to you. New Hampshire, bah. Though I like to visit there, nice place but Pats?!? come on lol.

I like the Gmen and the Chargers. The first is easily explainable being from NY, but no idea why I'm a Chargers fan. It's odd.
But yeah, root against NE when I can hehe.

Its strange though, cause I am a huge Red Sox fan.

=/ That's funny. I like the Pats and Celtics but love rooting against the Red Sox for some reason. D:

It is a nice place, though. Cold--very cold--but otherwise nice.

oh anyone know what was up with the throwback day? Did they say why or just for kicks?

The refs looked stupid in the orange.

I'm not sure. I think it was 40th anniversary or something (or so the little bar at the bottom said) so maybe it was something to commemorate 40 years of Monday Night Football? They're doing the same thing with the Chargers/Raiders game.

yeah, that would make sense. Was trying to figure out what the 40 on my screen was for but thats likely the correct answer.

I do think it would be kinda cool to do that with all the monday night games though.

I hate the Chargers too. Well, I guess I really hate every other team besides the Colts. But the Patriots and Chargers are at the top of the pack.

Makes sense to me. Major AFC rivals with the Colts and all.

Managed to have a look at the highlights on NFL.com, (thank you internet) and it looks like its going to be an entertaining season.

Was really impressed by the highlights of Flacco for the Ravens (especially when he threw the interception and managed to chase down the guy and prevent a TD). He made so excellent plays. Not going to be managing the offense this year it seems.

And the other sophomore, Matt Ryan looked very good too. Having Gonzalez to throw to doesn't hurt i'm sure. I hope the Falcons do well this year.

The Jets were impressive too. Looks like Rex Ryan has taken the Baltimore defensive formula with him.

As for my BEARS, wow they sucked. And now injuries on top of insults. This could be a long season.

And for whoever mentioned the Dallas scoreboard, have you seen the snickers ad with Adam Vinatieri (sp?). Saw it while watching the NFL highlights. Made me laugh. Couldn't help but think of Jerry Jones.

Congrats to Brett Favre ..... he made it through a whole game without RETIRING !

PS How the hell is Favre a team captain ???? .... must be all the work he put in with the Vikes during training camp.

Brady threw 59 passes last night. 59! If I was an AFC defensive coordinator I would just leave the front four to stop the run and drop everyone else back to cover the pass.

As far as my Vikes go: I have never seen someone who is not a lineman, throw another NFL player out of his way. Adrian Peterson must have the upper body strength of Karsa Orlong.

@Grumble- same thing happened last year with the Farve and the Jets. Though he did training camp with them for a longer period of time. My guess is that as QB, running the plays and whatnot, he is automatically captain for them. Plus he has years of experience that can be put to good use in talking to refs and doing other captain like duties.

That one move by AP was absurd. Great run, though...and the guy'll be doing the same thing all year long.

Then they run it right at you, use draws, and check down passes. It would mean your front four MUST get pressure on the QB, and that's harder to do than you think.

The packers o-line looks like shit, again. They need to fix it or the season is doomed.

Patriots lose! Woohoo! Second best thing to a Colts win! :)

ok so-

YEAH! Pats lose. Nice nice, this time the New York team actually wins.

Chargers could have pulled off a win, but the last drive ended poorly.

Lol at Steelers kicker, Jeff Reed, for missing not 1, but 2 kicks in the 4th quarter that could have helped them win the game. Instead he was shown crying on the side line.

and finally, go Giants.
