This is most probably an idiotic comment but I cant really remember and I dont have the books to hand at the moment (too big to pack for uni :p) but:

IIRC there is a dragon for every warren/aspect. As far as I'm aware, KE shoukd be amongst those but has no dragon I'm aware of (Scabby and the like are only Soletaken), so it could be this dragon, waiting and guarding the throne from people trying to take over like Scabby and further affect the warren.

Please correct me if I have anything obviously wrong because it's late, I'm tired and, as I said, I cant check myself. :p

I'm sorry, but where is it mentioned that there is a presence or sleeper on Drift Avali? Very confused here...

It's in HoC when Cutter is rescued by Darist.
The conversation goes something in the lines of this:
"We must leave here, our presence might wake him"
"Wake who?"
Darist didn't answer and they continued up the stairs...

Or something like the above.

One of the dragons trapped in Shadow, that Cotillion has the long conversation with in BH, was aspected to KE. Perhaps one of the other ones was too. I think it was Ampelas, but not totally sure on the name.

And since Osric (and possibly Rake) are aspected to a warren, I think it's not too incredible to believe that Scabby could have been the second dragon for KE.

considering that just a mere presence would be enough to wake whoever is sleeping below DA i would doubt it would be someone that someone else wanted trapped forever. Also from reading what Gothos says, the soul of Scabby was not destroyed because of his ritual, surely then the finnest cannot leave the continent of lether as that is where the ritual took place and away from the ritual his soul could be free. (bit of a crazy one i guess, but if its true it does bring up some questions, what with the ritual failing)

I don't think so - once Scabby's soul was finnest'd, i don't think he was going anywhere Gothos didn't want him to.

- Abyss, finnest this post... heehee, see what i did there...

Hmmm. Why didn't they just take Scabby somewhere else, and kill him there? The Elder Gods certainly have advanced transportation capabilities. They could even just take the Finnest away and destroy it in some remote location. There's no reason to leave Scabby on Drift Avalii when he could just be killed there instead.

Why didn't they just take him somewhere else to kill him? I don't think Scabby was in the mood for a stroll and Scabby was not on Drift Avalii which you seem to think in the end of your post. Scabby was lying on the bottom of a crack on what one would guess to be nothern Lether.

Why didn't the EG's do something/else with the Finnest? Because the EG's had no say in it? :p Gothos had the Finnest and given his annoying personality I'm sure he did something far more tricky with it.

Yeah, but I doubt it would be very hard for the EGs to move him somewhere else by force, considering the ease with which they dispatched him, and the apparent ease of EGs in travelling both within a realm and between realms. Instead, the possibility wasn't even discussed, even after Gothos suggested the use of a Finnest.

The point was made that Scabby was VERY powerful, so much so that his soul would cause all kinds of mess even without a body.

Could they be sure of anything if they didn't take Gothos' offer.

And the point was to torment Scabby for his role in ending the universe.

- Abyss, thinks that would look odd on a resumé.

it's probably another Edur myth.
They seem to have a few of them around.
Possibly they think it's either Father Light and/or possibly Osserc.:D

Well Menandore's father is Osserc, and we know he isn't trapped in the Moon, he's currently being a hermit in that "memories of Raraku" place that L'oric visited in HoC. So I suppose we have to fall back on good old "the Edur histories aren't reliable" which in this respect they plainly are not.

Actually I've had a suspicion for a while that Brother Light was ment to be understood as as Osserc and he and Father Light actually are the same person.

Osserc seems to have been hindered in doing much the last many years, not just out of lack of interest.

But it's just a strange hunch, Osserc wandering in that memory realm might not make it impossible that his real persona is caught in the moons gardens. He is an elder god and they do seem able to wander.

Can't wait to get some more lore in RG... if we're lucky.
