One of the more interesting things that I found in the RG prologue was Gothos' use of a Finnest to house Scabandari's Soul. I realize a lot of people have been posting theories on what the Finnest is so I thought I would post on another idea. The popular consensus was that the sleeper in Drift Avali was Bloodeye. If he is housed within a Finnest and that Finnest is not on the island...who is the sleeper?

There isn't much to speculate really...we have no idea who is down there:) We figured it was bloodeye because the Throne of Shadow was there...no who knows

I never thought it was Bloodeye because it would be a bit of a risk to place his soul so close to Throne. If he was ever freed he would not have to travel far to claim the Throne of Shadow. It must be noted that Gothos is in an Azath House and I think that the Finnest is not with him. Wherever it is the general consensus is that it is in torment, as it should be. Among the Tiste Ascendants he wasn't the brightest and i think he was closely followed by his brother Osric. That line about him circling in the sky killed me.

Osric and Scabby weren't brothers, they aren't even the same race.
As for who is the presence on Drift Avalii, that's all up in the air now. Scabby was the only credible candidate as far as I know, and he's much less likely now.
The only possibility for the Finnest I can think of is a piece of Ruin's broken swords, which Gothos would've taken from the battlefields. Gothos seemed pretty miffed about the betrayal, so perhaps he seeks to imprison the betrayer's soul in the betrayed's weapon.
As for where it is now, four possibilities come to mind:
1) still in the possession of Gothos, in the Deadhouse (boring, and Fear certainly isn't going to get his hands on it in this case)
2) in the possession of Icarium. I only suggest this because he is Gothos's boy, and only known associate apart from Gethol, I have no actual evidence in support. Plus I think it will be interesting if he has it.
3) integrated into Rhulad's sword, which is made of pieces of Ruin's weapons. I haven't been able to think up a chain of evens which takes the Finnest from Gothos to the hand of Rhulad...but that doesn't mean it isn't so.
4) on Drift Avalii. I only say this because I still favour the (now rather unlikely) theory that the presence on Drift Avalii was Scabby. Why else would Andarist fear to awaken it?

Weve only seen 2 finnests. One of them was Raests and the other one was the Seers. We saw the Seer make his Finnest but maybe Raests one was Scabby? I dunno seen as everyone thinks Iccy has it might aswell throw something else out there

I suppose that could be true but surely Ruin would have known when he quested in her. A nice idea tho but her soul is kinda full

how about the Finnest being a Blackwood seed... from which the trees on Drift Avialli would descend?

Ruin's swords dont really strike me as very plausible. Gothos mentions he only does Finnests of the kind he presents to the two EG. Therefore, he's done such before. Obviously, Ruin's swords dont come around every once and then.

Has Rhulads sword got Silchas Ruins swords shards or the shards from Scabbies Dagger that he btrayed Silchas with? Off topic i know but an answer would be appreciated

The shards of Ruin's sword, that was shattered by the death-cry of the Matron he slew shortly before the betrayal. That's what Rhulad's sword is made from.
The knife Scabby used on Ruin was not broken, and I would assume it remained in Ruin's back when he entered the Azath (since its enchantments were keeping Ruin unconscious) or that Scabby retrieved it and it was still in his possession when he was wasted by Kilmandaros.
(Kilmandaros needs a nickname. How about "Mandy"? Or "Rosie")

Id think quite alot especially since the only RG stuff weve got (or virtually all weve got) contains her and therefore all the threads till next april will likely contain her.

If Mandy is out then I would prefer Rosie. It's a much nicer name for an Elder God than KIL.

I'm going to use Kilm or Kilma, personally, but Rosie sounds better, it just seems to have very little connection to the name itself.

Well, I say it kill-man-da-rose in my head, so that's where Rosie comes from. Perhaps other people think of the last syllable as "ross" instead.
