the 'open' bit realates to the realm and not the warren.
and IMO those three were chained before the *last flight of the dragons into Starvald Demelain* :)

Notreally relevant to this thread but was the nascent realm the realm of the Kenryllah or whatever those demons were called in MT. I just read a bit and it sed that there realm was a broken piece of KE.

I had problems figuring that out aswell. I think the Nascent is some kind of middle realm. A place between many places like KE, the place Paran and the trygalle guild travel through, etc.

The water and the whiskered fish came from the Kenryllah(sp?) world, Rhulad opened a gate and drowned a part of the world.

yeh the N'purel there called them giant catfish. The description fits about how they can swallow a Kenryllah child whole. Also it fits the time scale as it was recently flooded. Onrack and Trull say that it had been recently flooded and it was the largest fragment and had reached a period of stability to bring aboput a civilisation. But they claim it was humans not demons. Also i now think that the Kenryllah realm was opened up flooded the nascent (therefore allowing the Npurel to get into that realm and killing all the human occupiers
