Cities and books. The Toblakai were once a fairly advanced civilization.

Check also out the Race Maze thread on the TT/Jaghut topic.

Like he says, it's just evidence of how far the Teblor have fallen - they no longer remember the words for "city" or "book".

Really don't think the TT are Jaghut descendents - show me a list of physical and mental characteristics Karsa shares with a Jaghut.

The TT in the cavern, with the full armour also suggest a history of sophistication. As there is no mention of them (the TT) by the Jaghut or in any conversations about the K'Chain concerning the early history of the world maybe they came from another world or warren.

The inbuilt warren ability is also pretty unique among the races, suggesting they stand apart.

With Bellardun (sp?) he could be an instance of cross breeding rather than TT lineage as a whole having to include Jaghut blood. Things like that don't have to apply to every member of the race. Maybe this is why as a cross breed he was smaller than the cavern TT.

The original TT may have all been bigger, now most diluted with interbreeding or with other races as it looks like they were scattered across the continents. However, those who meet Karsa have been quick to appraise him as a true TT.

yes not that i wish to create thread on TT origins but as relation to no jaght origins theres a quote in GOTM

Bellurdan ' he sent me to look at a scroll of gothos folly being of jaghut blood although gothos would likely deny the fact.'

This is not actual what he sed but he definitely claimed to be of jaghut origins suggesting the TT are imass jaghut and jhag are jaghut TT.
