No way! It'll take more than arrows to kill Mappo!

Unless they are Moranth munitions...

Yeh i suppose his skin is like heavy leather armour so i doubt he could be punctured. Neway someone like fiddler or even one of his squad just getting killed. I liked the pointless deathsin MOI. They were still slightly dramataic so you cared but not that grand. Like trotts and detoran.

mappo falls off the boat, sinks like a stone, and the whole world dies because noone can stop Iccy. Only make him sleepy. There, I just finished the series, I win.

so...finished book 3...damn, but i can't believe how se's writing improves with each outing...each of these novels has, in turn, been my favourite, and reaper's holds to that pattern...page after page of magic...

Good news, good news. Keep us posted on the prologue, old bean.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

My, my.....but SE's worked wonders indeed. You seem...'moved' there Pallor, and I'm not referring to toilet humour. I've never seen you so forthcoming..."loquacious," as Paran would say. We're all grateful....see?? Even my bitterness has subsided and that's saying a LOT!

So 'Beak' huh? He sounds like a mage....he a mager Pallor?? And some'ink tells me that Bottle is dead...and Tayschrenn.
"We greet you Jaghut."

Tiam you are just asking for that old debate to flair up again, aren't you? :)

I think there's is a twisting in the events of Pale discussed in GotM and MoI. In GotM we're sure that Tay was out to kill his own cadre, ment for the BB's to be buried and generally was a nasty person. He would have torn Parans mind and body to pieces to learn his secrets.

In MoI, it's put in another light, it was nightchill that was the bad guy and tay accidently killed Callot(sp?) deflecting Rake or NT's sorcery.

I think he thought he could take out the Moon, but was A surprised by Rake's potential and B was distracted when he had to take care of the fighting going on in between the magecadre.

That said, I actually do believe that the Empress and Tay wanted WJ dead back at Pale.
