owen wanted to go, or so I figure. he only had 1 year left on his contract, so liverpool had to sell him, and owen (through his agent) pretty much manipulated this situation the way he wanted. so I don't really think benetiz wanted him to leave, but he had no choice.

Given that the transfer window closes at the end of the month and he can sign a pre-contract when it re-opens in January I can understand why 'Pool felt they had to sell. But 8 million and an unknown midfielder? Sounds like a bad deal. I know he is not as sharp as he was, but still...

Yet another penalty shoot out then. It was a pretty poor quality game, I thought the Dutch should have brought on Overmars, they were looking a bit listless for most of the game. Playing Nistelrooy up front on his own doesnt seem to be very effective.

Well, I think Nunez was just chucked in by Real for the Owen deal, because otherwise Liverpool felt like they were getting ripped off (which they were, see Owen's goal in La Liga a couple of nights ago? Stunning.) I'd agree with Josemi thoughPosted Image

Pfft, didn't deserve to loose to Chelski. Not by a country mile. Ah well, these things happen, I'm happy with Jol so farPosted Image

it's just election lies from one of the candidates down in madrid. everybody got their eyes up for him now that he became top goal scorer in the european championship. I doubt that he'll actually leave.

Yeah, Spurs are travelling pretty well in the second half of the season- Carrick's turning out to be something of a revelation, which makes Santini an even bigger dummy. Paul Robinson has been superb in goal and Keane, Defoe and Kanoute is a terrifying strikeforce.

We have the rematch against Exeter- and Fergie was so embarrassed that he's playing a virtual first-team this time around. The big match is against Arsenal in two weeks time, with Chelsea having wrapped up the league, I want us to get 2nd spot and automatic Champions League group place.

Player of the tournament at the Japan/Korea world cup, but yeah, pathetic, I agree completely. Even I could do better. With my eyes closed and my feet tied together. And I'm sure you could too.

Couple of promising signings by Santini while I've been out of touch by the look of itPosted Image Why the hell doesn't Levy open his fist a bit sometimes? He's the second richest chairman in English football after Abramovich, can't he show it occasionally?

And the disallowed goal was on-side. The linesman didn't see the first man touch it. 3-0 to us at least!

completely at random. vålerenga would probably be at the top of the list. and I certainly hate danny mills more than paul dickov, and snake more than anyone else.
