@Morningstar:Your're right Reyes will have great season this year, have feeling Henry will struggle though. Think he needs change of scenery.

I'd back Utd at fancy enough odds to win the league. Also A.C Milan will win the Champions League, back them now.

Sweden lost in the penalties. I knew Ibrahimovic is good for nothing... really. I felt he'll do something wrong since the beginning. just like I knew that Abel Xavier will f*ck something up back in WC1998 or EURO2000 (in the match with france... hand inside the penalty box)

you obviously didn't see that match. liverpool had more control in that game than in the one against monaco. the only thing missing was the last little touch to give us the goal.

but you're right about kewell. he's been injured for over a year now, and has been playing crap because of it. don't see why he can't just take the time to get permanently well and then come back.

hyypia hasn't lost it at all. once again, you obviously didn't see last nights game. he and carragher are really comming along well togeather, and showed a side of pure control on their part against deportivo.

cisse and baros has only played togeather in two matches, and they did OK last night. Cisse hasn't really adapted to EPL yet, and is a little out of form, but he shows qualities and promise of what to come.

and benitez does not need to get rid of more players than he already has (well, henchoz is moer or less gone come january), as he did a little purging when he got here. right now he's operating with a far to small amount of players to compete with the top teams. not that we're expecting (nor is it expected) that we will compete for the premiership title this year (looks like arsenal will make this season extreamly boring), but qualifying for champions league is a must. and we need at least the players we got now to get there.

Kimi is back in business! Now if it would just rain tommorow directly after Schumi's first stop, forcing him to go back to the pits to switch to wets, then dry up again and he goes back to dries - while everyone he stays out on wets beacuse they know its going to rain again. Wait, he's still going to win, isnt he?

nice game by the Czech 2nd squad, poor job by the Germans (with the glorious exception of Ballack - that guy is incredebile). Ballack's goal was beautiful, but Heinz's goal was a freakin' miracle! never have I seen such a perfect shot. Czech Rep. - Germany 2:1

anyways, Holland and Czech Rep. through. pity Latvia didn't stand up to Holland, 3:0...

Greece - Spain 1:1

a good result there, and quite a good game, but the referee could pay more attention to spanish fouls and his cards. that bald guy from Spain deserved a red card at two occasions for unfair play and plain rudeness... 2 of the spanish defenders and midfielders deserved their second yellow for tactical fouls on numerous occasions, but none did. overall, the spanish deserved, in total, at least 5 yellows in the 2nd half. pity.

lol, if the gods truly exists, not in the next 20 years, until a completely new team emerges Posted Image. it's embarassing to see them play nowdays... after a good pass of wins (with Italy, Serbia and Slovenia) we got a loss with the USA, a draw (or loss? can't recall) with Ireland, a loss with Sweden and a win with Greece (1-0, thanks to an own goal Posted Image)
so, we are losers too. but we don't score a goal in the 38', then fall back into complete defensive (a suicide that is with one goal advantage), then not score a penalty, and then after FATAL mistakes of two of our players lose TWO GOALS after the 90th minute...
