Well, I guess I have unique tastes. I like just about every main-stream sport.

Me too :)

I like most sports, but I just can't get into Billiards. I can only watch it if it's women playing. Women...holding stick....leaning over, mmmmmmmmmmm.:)

So you like looking at sticks huh? I bet you love Pick up Sticks.

You know, I get the worst of both world where it comes to football. I get made fun of in the U.S. because I love (soccer) and made fun of on here by Brits because I love American football. I'm so sad now. I'm going to go listen to MCR and be all emo-y.

Or go play proper rugby. Then you'll get over your silly infatuation with stop-start-stop chicken rugby :)

Rugby will never become mainstream here with the popularity of the NFL. I've watched it before though and I enjoyed it, despite the fact that I really didn't have a clue what the hell was going on whenever the ball wasn't getting thrown around and people were running.

Rugby League is apparently now one of the fastest growing sports in the US. I think generally it would suit the USA more than Union since it's more straightforward and immediate, with less tactical kicking.

The capability for catastrophic action is high there though. The odds of a participant being shot after most of these events are extremely low compared to that one.

I nominate croquet as the most boring sport ever. It's golf with a damned polo mallet, and can be done in the yard. Bah. Sports should require special equipment other than medieval forge requirements.

Why is cricket so high? :)
I mean with the new-ish 20/20 at least maybe some more people would like it, oh well... :)

I find it really interesting that more people find baseball boring than bowling and billiards.

You forgot Soccer, so Tennis gets my vote. I find nothing more mind numbing than watching someone kick a ball back and forth for 15 minutes in the middle of the field just to finally start to do something and lose the ball.... o_0 All of my friends are soccer nuts and swear that there is much more to like if you had played the sport, but I fail to see it.

While Cricket is incredibly boring, I watched a 3 day match while visiting family in London and I was strangely intrigued...I couldn't stop watching.

So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."

I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

I doubt people actually do find baseball more boring than bowling or billiards, it's just a reaction against it because it's so popular in the USA I'd suspect that most of those people who voted baseball are British and have voted against it not cos they find it the most boring per se but that they are baffled why Americans go on about how great it is when to the casual observer it looks about as entertaining as Christmas with the inlaws, I suspect you could say the same in reverse about cricket.

Don't get me wrong; I'm not a baseball apologist,I hate 'roid rounders, I'd rather watch nothing.

I find baseball as boring as cricket, and for pretty much the same reasons. I voted for cricket as just edging it, though, as at least you can't have a rain-enforced draw after 5 days of playing (gah!)

I will admit that one-day cricket, or 20-20, can be exciting. I'd still prefer to watch a round of golf, though. Or curling. Curling is awesome. (And no, I'm not being sarcastic. I love curling.)
It is perfectly monstrous the way people go about nowadays saying things against one, behind one's back, that are absolutely and entirely true.

~Although I can't seem to tear my eyes away from curling, its like a car accident involving 3 street racers and a cow....simply terrificifying

I've had to pick golf from the list. Spoils a good walk does golf.

The absolute most boring 'sport' in the world ever is without doubt Horse Racing (yawn), I just can't watch it!!! Being a red blooded male I can usually watch any crap sport whether i like it or not, but Horse Racing is a load of horse shit. even when theres a few jumps involved and the chance of a jockey getting trampled is a cert, i still can't watch it.

Also I'd like to add Formula 1. I can watch the first five mins, but once the chance of a pile up at the first corner has past, theres not much point going on.

Lots of hate for the grand old sport of golf. That's fine by me, keeps the courses free of the duffers so I can have a relaxing round.

The more I've come to understand the Japanese sword art that I practice (not kendo btw), the more I realize that golf shares a lot of similarities with it. A good golf swing is all about finesse, timing, and a clear mind.
