I went with car racing, I find watching it absolutely torturous! It takes forever and unless there's an accident or something there's very little exitement.

Lots of hate for the grand old sport of golf. That's fine by me, keeps the courses free of the duffers so I can have a relaxing round.

The more I've come to understand the Japanese sword art that I practice (not kendo btw), the more I realize that golf shares a lot of similarities with it. A good golf swing is all about finesse, timing, and a clear mind.

and not falling asleep mid-swing or even letting go of your club mid-swing.

Hey, maybe thats what they could do to liven things up a bit. The golfer takes his swing and releases his club at the end which flys off into the crowd. they could get extra points for the amount of injuries they create.

5 points for a critical injury, 3 for a fleshwound, 2 for a bleeder and 1 for scratch

Clearly the only way to make it more interesting is to place random-time explosives inside the balls. And take a leaf out of the Brainiac book and have caravans exploding when they sink a putt.

I voted for golf, just cos whenever my brother and dad watch it on TV I feel like smashing my head into the wall. It can't get any more boring, it just can't. OK, I understand playing golf is a lot more fun but that doesn't make WATCHING it any less of a torture.

A close second would be NASCAR. Seeing cars drive around in a circle for hours was never my idea of fun. At least with F1 the tracks are different. Oh, and I can't comment about cricket, seeing as how I'm in North America I've never watched a second of cricket in my life (even if my boyfriend is English!).

Car racing. Takes about the same time as a snail doing a marathon, and nothing happens. You could leave for 2 hours and come back, and odds are the same guy will still be winning.

And I don't understand why some people hate cricket, yet still love baseball. Basically two different versions of the same brainchild. Someone throws a ball, tries to hit a target, batsman/hitter has to stop him, hit the ball and avoid the fielders, then run a little to make a score. Pretty much exactly the same, except for the field and a few other middling things.

Depends on the type of cars. F1 and NASCAR are shockingly dull, but V8 racing in Aus is good to watch, mostly because there's plenty of overtaking, and Rally driving is fun beause of waiting to see if they even make it through a stage

Touring cars is the best form of racing I know of, assuming it's done right. BTCC was, as Top Gear rightly made the point recently, brilliant in the late '90s and early noughties. Not so much now, but I'm sure someone somewhere is doing it properly... In fact, having looked on Wikipedia, the Australian thing Brood is on about is a touring car format. Yay.

thats the thing, motorbikes. and of course volleyball is great to play, but beach volleyball is terribly boring to watch, and golf and car racing just unnerves me.

Nascar would win if it werent for the occasional crashes. I mean, F1 is dull enough, but at least the tracks are varied. Just going round and round and round an oval circuit over an over...Id rather gouge my mincers out than sit through a whole race.

Nascar has road-courses. The only problem with that is it is impossible to pass in them, a la F1.

I'll tell you what isn't the most boring sport. Curling. Bowling on ice baby!
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

I voted cricket...recalling 4 of the longest hours of my life in a pub outside London, listening to a loaded old man trying to explain the game and justify the ridiculous amount of time it takes to play...my head hurts just thinking about it.

Of the North American sports we are bombarded with on a weekly basis, gotta vote baseball as the most boring to watch (playing is OK, if you are drinking beer during the game...). I tried to like it, I really did...
