Tempest: Osric is the God of the Tiste Liosan (Osserc, Lord of the Sky)

Rake is the god of the Bluerose Tiste Andii (Anomandaris, Son of Darkness)

Scabby was the god of the Edur (Emurlahnis, Father Shadow)

the categories of "gods" and "ascendants" are not distinct in the Malazan world.

each is worshipped, each is a god. (despite two not caring, and the other being - to all intents and purposes - dead)

I've read that the various human-type species conform to (real) human ancestor species. for example, the Imass are Neanderthals (prominent forehead, short stature). humans are humans, and the Eres are inspired by whatever the pre-Neanderthal race was, I don't know the correct term (homo erectus?).

i meant that serc might not be Osric's warren the same way Fener's priests could access Fener's warren. it is just associated.

Ruse is similar, goddess Nerruse yet Mael's actions are termed as High Ruse sorcery it is just recent association the warrens no doubt existed before they had names.

hell they might have changed Osric's name when they worshipped him to Osserc because people knew about Serc

dolorus: rake is not a god. he doesn;t want ot be one.... it has been mentioned many time before ..that to be a god.. one must be worshippend and has the desire to be a god... rake is indeed worshipped but he has no desire to be a god... silchas on the other hand has the desire but no worshipper... therefore no godhood...

there is never any mention that osserc is indeed linked to serc.. it could jsut be named after him only without any other association....
