Halfway through the book of Taltos. I'm enjoying it, but I received today the next two books by Patrick Lee, not to mention some new cthulhu goodness by Stross, and the sequel to Shadow of the Wind, so it will be a challenge to finish.

Forge of Darkness arrived yesterday. Currently on chapter four and so far I'm loving every second of it. All of my preconceived notions have been destroyed (in a good way).

Finished FATED by Benedict Jacka. Great book, very on par with Dresden, and nearly as entertaining (nearly). More on my thoughts in the ded-thread.

Next up I'll probably be moving onto a re-read of THE HOBBIT in my Year of Tolkien series.

The Hobbit's the last book I read. yeah I know quite late, but i wanted to read it before the movie. Hopefully Forge of Darkness will come next.

Finished reading the Dresden Files. Am currently reading Stephen King's The Stand cos someone leant it to me. What I really want to read though is some epic space opera sci-fi (cos I just finished playing Mass Effect 1 and it got me all in the mood!) I currently have two Iain M Banks books to be read (and I flipping love him! I think I also have some of his on my Kindle...) but I am more thinking along the lines of rereading the Nights Dawn Trilogy by Peter F Hamilton. However someone suggested reading "The Lost Fleet" by Jack Campbell. Thoughts? Bear in mind I already have the Hamilton and Banks books so unless the Lost Fleet series is like Malazan levels of epic awesomeness, then I doubt I will fork out cash for it when I haven't even got OST or FOD yet...

Blood Rites is done and I've moved on to Dead Beat. This is the book that made my a little disappointed in Batman: Arkham City's museum level.

Still working on my reread of Lord Foul's Bane. Finding that I don't have the time that I'd like to sink into this due to the real world (and Borderlands 2). I can't believe how much I'm enjoying this reread though, for all the negative (and sometimes horrible) parts of this book there are so many more wonderful breath-taking moments.

I am however going to take a short break from it to power through the copy of Legion that showed up in my mail today.

After some significant buzz (and the much lauded release of the second book in the series) I've picked up Ken Follet's FALL OF GIANTS. Looking fwd to it, Follet usually impresses me with his stuff.

I just finished The Stories of Ibis, which was a really enjoyable read. I wasn't sure about it to start with but it just got better and better. I think I'm gonna start GotM again, next, though I'm not yet certain I'm I'm gonna do a full on MBotF re-read or not—it really depends on whether or not I can find anything new to read after GotM. I've not yet read any of the novellas so I might go and buy them.

Also, mostly aimed at QT or anyone else who's read The Stories of Ibis, at the back of the book, there's a page with a few other Japanese SF books published by the same company—have you read any of them? I might look them up and try out anything that tickles my fancy.
