But glad you liked it overall.

Haven't read Rothfuss yet, but since that Black Company collection has three books, you could stagger it back and forth nicely with the Hunger Games books.

yah, many interesting stuff she puts there but then she just waylaid them to the sidelines, and i'm like, huh? what happened?
Spoiler

maybe i'm a little spoiled by SE, as the best bits of Malazan is those dramatic deaths/tragic deaths,
Spoiler

about the Black Co. the only thing is, its a little pricey, but nothing is impossible, if there is a will, there is a way, hehe,

fixed, sorry about that, it's okay, i pass my time now between my re-read of Deadhouse Gates and the DC new 52 comics, i'll be putting up budget for stuff that i hope to acquire before this end of the month,

It's not who I am underneath.. but what i do that defines me - Batman, Batman Begins; 'Without our deaths, sir, there would be no crime. Thus, no punishment to match,' 'Mortal Sword - '
'We are done, my friend. Now, in this manner, we choose the meaning of our deaths' - Mortal Sword Brukhalian to Veteran Nilbanas, siege of Capustan
'Ippen shinde miru (want to try dying this once) ?' - Jigoku Shoujo (Hell Girl)

Don't forget to hide your spoilers.

And I assumed you already had the Black Company, since you mentioned it, sorry.

Wow, I'm about 450 pages into David Gemmell's TROY: LORD OF THE SILVER BOW and consider me VERY impressed so far. The story and characters are all utterly engaging and I find myself devouring it at a pretty quick pace. The cast of characters is actually much larger than I assumed it would be, and yet Gemmell handles everyone equally.

If all Gemmell's later work is like this, then I will be pleased to read a lot more!

LORD FOUL'S BANE by Stephen R. Donaldson

I'm appreciating this a lot more than when I previously attempted it.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

While I rarely venture from Malaz or history books a guy at work does that 'World Book Night' thing and gave me Good Omens by Pratchet and Gaiman. Ive only ever read Sourcery and didnt like it that much and have never read any Gaiman (need to read American Gods tbh) but im really quite enjoying this book. Very funny turns of phrase are making me laugh on the bus

Finished Gemmell's TROY: LORD OF THE SILVER BOW tonight, fantastic book with an amazingly well written final battle with a few tear-inducing last stands of soldiers. EPIC, and I'm fully in for the trilogy now! Will pick up the next book soon.

Now onto Kristen Britain's GREEN RIDER.

LOL, I'm not actually sure what number I'm at...going to count...I'm only at around 20 so far this year. It's been slow.

yeah, i know it wasn't him, that one was just skinny, atleast she could have just stated how they died, like in a recap or something, doesn't need to be detailed, just in a general sort of way, like death by gunshot or choke, or any other way,

There are something like 32 kids in the BR class, they maybe showed half those deaths, cause in the end it was about Shuya anyways.

It's been a while, and in that time I've polished off Anansi Boys and a re-read of Midnight Tides. Today I picked up "The Picture of Dorian Grey", reckon I'll take a swing at it.

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

Reading The Saxon Stories by Bernard Cornwell - light bit of historical fiction, and fairly enjoyable.

I finished Ender's Game and started On a Pale Horse a few days ago. So far Pale Horse is...okay. I'm about halfway through and I don't hate it but it hasn't quite grabbed me either.
