Just finished a light vampire book called 'Blood is Thicker than Water' by Wynette A. Hoffman. Not bad, even though vampires aren't usually my thing.

..."Da Vinci" is on hold for the moment. As I have just taken delivery of complete run of some classic comic Titles , "Hellblazer", "Lucifer", "Preacher" and "League of ex gents".( Thankyou Ebay and people who don't know what they're selling ) That's over 250 comics and specials. Should keep me busy.

Finished GRRM's "Song for Lysa" and started his "Ice Dragons". You can really see the roots of "Song OF Ice and Fire" in his early stories.

Re-reading Neal Asher's "The Skinner". Cos it's one of the best stand-alone sci-fi books ever.

Went to the library yesterday to get Contact by Carl Sagan, 'cause I've really wanted to read this (supposed) classic for a long time. I also saw Idlewild, by his son Nick, standing next to it looking very intriguing. So I ended up reading that one first

I am now about half way through Shadowkings. It reads very easily and quickly. Although it does have some cool scenes and concepts, nothing really special has jumped out at me yet...though still a fairly impressive debut.

I've just finished David Hewson's Season of the Dead. Excellent serial killer storyline with religious trappings in Rome and the Vatican
I also just bought over $200 worth of books so I'll be posting news as I go
@Oponn
As I've somewhere around here before - Kim Hunter writes some terrible stuff. The pain...

Now reading "The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire" by Edward Gibbon. For a history text finished in 1788, it's still one of the definitive texts on Roman history. I know most folks would be bored to tears reading it but I find the subject endlessly fascinating. I'm such a geek....
