Walter Jon Williams - The Praxis
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

I would say read IT. It is next to the Stand imho. The Stand is my favorite King's book. Then goes IT. I have not finished The Dark Tower yet, so I cannot say anything about it. The first 4 books that I have read are very good, but some people say that the last 3 are very bad, so I cannot judge it yet. I liked Tommynockers more than Salem's Lot.
I just got wolves of the Calla and it seems a bit odd (even for a S King book).
Also what is the stand? Fantasy or horror

Both? Let's say it is a mini The Dark Tower series.
It is about a global plague. It is going to wipe out most of human population on the Earth and there is a certain character who is probably the same bad guy that you met in The Dark Tower (not sure about it, I have read the Stand many years ago, if I am wrong someone correct me please).
As I said it is No. 1 by S. King for me. I even bought hardback edition 1 year ago for my home collection: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Stand-Stephen-King...ie=UTF8&s=books

From memory the Stand world is visited in the DT series.
I'm reading "Jack of Ravens" by Mark Chadbourn. Good book but I don't think i'll read the rest of the series. Having read Gaimans American Gods and Lawheads Paradise War series this book really doesn't stand up to either.

Just finished Joe Abercrombie's THE BLADE ITSELF. I found it refreshing, somewhat of a throwback to fantasy books of the 80s. Much more humorous in tone than I thought it would be, though.

Question:
Does being the only sane person in the world make you insane?
If a tree falls in the woods and a deaf person saw it, does it make a sound?

Finished yesterday Sojourn (The Dark Elf trilogy) by Salvatore.
Somewhere during the third book of the series I got borred and felt somewhat disappointed and even regret that I started to read the series but toward the end of the book it became interesting again (or maybe my mood has changed?), so I am glad I read the trilogy and looking forward to read Ice Windale trilogy (if it arrives, I ordered a BCE hardback edition from USA amazon marketplace, but it was sent to me by land...means over the sea, probably 6-9 weeks if it doesn't get lost).
Anyway, from tonight I am back to The Dark Tower, Wolves of the Calla. I mean to finish the series if it proves to be interesting.

Book 7 is my favorite, but a whole hell of a lot of fans were disappointed with it.

Yeah I have heard about it. However, I bought all 7 books, so I am going to give it a try and make my own opinion about it.
