It's not out in TPB in the US. It's only in the UK. The UK releases TPBs for all books way earlier than the US.

All the earbooks are on Audible.

My edit didn’t go through. I have heard that the cover has really shitty ink that will smudge fairly easily which is a shame cause it is actually quite lovely in some places.

This is a thing that bugs me with some hardcovers...you take the slip cover off as not to ruin it while reading, but the physical cover of the book is printed with cruddy ink that rubs off all over your hands. I've had a number of these.

And yeah, the PRIORY cover is a gorgeous piece of art. That said, I have it in ebook, so no smudge worries on my end.

On my end, I can't deiced whether to read THE GIRL & THE STARS by Lawrence next, or one of the MURDERBOT books I got free, or finally read LICANIUS 3 and finish that series. I am indecisive...leaning towards Lawrence tho becuase I love his work so much...

Finished "Pushing Ice" , and yep, it ended in a total CF as expected.

The entire character dynamic it was built around wasn't all that strong, imo.

The science is cool, albeit also scary, and the descriptions of the hostility of space game me some anxiety and drowning flashbacks; suffice it to say I'm the kind of person to stay the hell away from vacuum. But I guess the fact that he was able to elicit such strong reactions in me speaks to Reynolds' proficiency as a writer.

Moving on, I think I'll tackle one of my oldest unread books next- "Fugitive Prince", the 4th Wars of Light and Shadow book.

I finished Sword of Kaigan yesterday. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed a story of wizard samurai fighting wizard invaders in a post industrialization fantasy Japan, but here we are. Struggled with one of the characters, her inability to see what was going on, despite her background, got a little jarring in places, but it got a lot better by the end.

Read Calgar's Fury. Definitely way superior to all other Black Library stuff - bar maybe Abnett on a good day - because Paul Kearney.

Very good with the slow increase of tension, among the other usual aspects of characterisation, plot and action.

Frankly I haven't yet read anything by Paul Kearney I haven't enjoyed. Even stuff like the end of Monarchies of God was still good, just not as good as he can do.

I hope I haven't jinxed myself because I've read some wildly differing reviews of The Wolf in the Attic, and it's in the TRP.

So I've just discovered tons of Redwall books at my parents house. Dunno if any of you have read them but I devoured them when I was younger.

Also finished book 10 of the Saxon Stories The Flame Bearer and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I was a bit meh about the prior entry but this was jolly good fun. Will probably go straight into War of the Wolf .
