Hi everyone,

It's my book release day! Hooray Tatterdemalion on Facebook and Tatterdemalion on Instagram!

This forum was instrumental helping me with my debut novel Purge of Ashes when it came out in 2016, but now it's refurbished and released again in it's definitive form! It got good reviews before, but it's getting great ones now. For all involved in helping, thank you! First of all, if ANYONE bought the old version, I will send you an updated definitive version of the ebook FREE, just DM me. I sadly can't do the same for the physical copy - it's a hefty enough book - but I would love to. The new one is 100% beautiful and professional in my eyes. I think it also thanks you all and Whisperzzzzzzz at the back Posted Image

Here's the link for Amazon.com and for Amazon.ca - but it's out around the world on Amazon.

I also got a great review on Queen's Book Asylum today.

Hope anyone who gives it a read enjoys it. I posted a video on Facebook that shows the interior and layout if anyone's keen to see, but it's too big to upload here. Thank you again, Malazan Community!

Congrats! I'm getting the paperback. Can't wait to spread jealous rumors that you're an industry plant based on your "overnight" success.

Nice one Tatts.

Is Miles Cameron referring to Robert Louis Stevenson in the cover quote?
"Fortune favors the bold, though statistics favor the cautious." - Indomitable Courteous (Icy) Fist, The Palace Job - Patrick Weekes

"Well well well ... if it ain't The Invisible C**t." - Billy Butcher, The Boys

"I have strong views about not tempting providence and, as a wise man once said, the difference between luck and a wheelbarrow is, luck doesn’t work if you push it." - Colonel Orhan, Sixteen Ways to Defend a Walled City - KJ Parker

Had the previous book version, still bought this version because that's what friends do.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

You guys are all amaze-balls! Barely feel I deserve it... but hey, just barely :p

Many thanks! I've got two children and both have autism and ADHD - my son's right near level 3, plus has 4 anaphylactic allergies - and I do tons of extra work for my students as a teacher like writing and directing plays. Having this dream has held me together for years, and whatever comes creating the books has become my life's goal. Grip of Dust is DONE so hopefully not too huge a wait, and I've started Book 3. Any and all reads and word-spreading are so appreciated and I hope y'all add me on social media and make yourselves known so you can bear witness to my joy and rejoice (no knife).

I also just spoke to Mihir Wanchoo at Fantasy Book Critic and he'll have a review soon - which boggles my mind.

And Tsondoku - maybe AJ Stevenson? To be honest, I never thought about it because it said Martin. Most importantly it says Miles Cameron.

Ooh - also - if any of you have reviews you want to transfer over to the new edition, I'd love it no matter the score. Of course, THIS edition of the book is much tighter and much more professional in all regards than the 2016 one.

What's the best way to purchase it for you? Amazon or local indie bookshop?

Yeah, that. I want to contribute but I feel a deep disgust in my gut (or it could be diarrhoea) to the idea giving any money at all to Bezos.

-----------------------

I actually thought maybe the quote was supposed to be "Steven Erikson" and it ended up as a typo.

Well huh, did not see the Malazan Empire reviews before:

Hi Folk,

Currently Amazon is the only way to purchase Purge of Ashes. Getting it into bookstores at all is quite hard when you're independent. I *have* sent fans ebooks and been paid in eTransfer. Might even get the ebook with the superior fonts in the process. DM me! Or better yet, add me on Facebook, connect, etc.

Also, I'd LOVE if anyone could pop to the Facebook Malazan group and give The Imbalance a shout out if you've read Purge of Ashes. A girl just posted asking for other authors to read after Malazan (citing James Islington) and I'd love the hype. I'd post the screenshot I took, but can't figure out how as the image isn't a URL.

Paperback is beautiful. Far better than 2016. Unfortunately, Amazon is the only way unless we set up something complex and expensive. I'll be getting author copies once my wife agrees on how much we're willing to spend on some Posted Image

Hey, it's me! And some visuals from the interior. Ignore my personal pronunciation of the word 'Malazan'.
