if it hasn't went to print yet, could I, perchance, be cheeky and suggest a few edits on the blurb? some of it reads.... awkwardly to me

Good to hear the project is still alive.

My original Amazon account that had that review was linked to a hotmail account that got hacked and hijacked (which didn't net the crooks much, since I made the Amazon account to do the review and had no payment info on it). But that particular review is lost in the internet ether now, which is why the book's always been in the back of my head.

Congrats on finally hitting the next milestone!

And I want to state that Ment has out-weaseled me by far in this game.

Here's what I had as your review:

Mentalist – Malazan Empire

Okay, done. That's some seriously dark ending.

I'm intrigued. Piecing together the world's history is fun. The characters areoften archetypal, but the story's entertaining, and is a nice combo of elementswe may have seen elsewhere.

I will certainly be looking out for the sequel.

There were some editing niggles, but nothing major. The use of specificterminology for times and distances was a bit disconcerting at first, but thenI just started subbing in familiar units mentally, and the irritation wentaway.

I think there's something with the head of the foremost character sort of looking like it is an unfinished artwork that is fading into the other two characters. If that changes, it probably looks much more composed.

Fixed in most recent edits.

Meanwhile, I am happy to send a definitive copy of the ebook for free to anyone who bought the 2016 version in any form. I don't expect any rereads, but would want to leave such helpful, early readers with at least one final copy. I'd send paperbacks to all but for cost.

If anyone's been watching I got a great review from Christian/Miles Cameron and now Mihir Wanchoo is giving it a go. All heading in the right direction!

Hey Abyss, DM me your email and I'll send you one. Also:

PURGE IS OUT IN TWO WEEKS AND I'M FREAKING OUT

But the physical copy is FULLY PREPARED and is so beautiful. Only changes might be review blurbs as they come in. I've started working on Silence of Deluge, Book 3, this week and have written one chapter and some of the prologue. Gonna be a long haul, but hey, Grip of Dust, Book 2, is already done and ready for release in a year or so. Feels good after so long!

I will be back to yell at everyone in two weeks or just before. Unfortunately, all this book publication has stopped me from reading No Life Forsaken. Alas! It's time will come soon.
