Could have been in a wedding dress ...
"Fortune favors the bold, though statistics favor the cautious." - Indomitable Courteous (Icy) Fist, The Palace Job - Patrick Weekes
"Well well well ... if it ain't The Invisible C**t." - Billy Butcher, The Boys
"I have strong views about not tempting providence and, as a wise man once said, the difference between luck and a wheelbarrow is, luck doesn’t work if you push it." - Colonel Orhan, Sixteen Ways to Defend a Walled City - KJ Parker

Finished Rhythm of War. I get why people say that it starts getting sloggier in this one but honestly didn't get as bummed out by that as I thought I would, especially how I struggled with the 4 Wheel of Time books I subjected myself to before giving up in disgust.
I like that Kaladin has come to a revelation and is hopefully not going to be so much of a downer now.
Yes I get that it's dealing with an important issue and he had to go through it all to come out the other side and swear the 4th ideal, but man it dragged a bit after a while!
Moash is the worst.
Taravangian is not much better.
I don't have much else. I've taken a quick break to read a palate cleanser novel and will be starting Wind and Truth shortly. Well I be glad to finish this? Definitely. I've got so much waiting for me to read that I want to get to, but I've quite enjoyed the journey.
Wish me luck I'm going in.

Syl aproaches MVP status for this book, esp in some of the otherwise angsty parts.

And I'm done!
Honestly? Wind and Truth was my favourite of them. I don't get the hate at all, I had a blast with this one.
The ten day structure of the book leant itself to a nice tension that kept building throughout the book, and the various plotlines kept me interested - Adolin desperately struggling in Azimir, and the eventual founding of the Unoathed/Shallan, Renarin, and Rlain in the spiritual realm trying to stop Ghost bloods/Dalinar and Navani getting lore dumped on every page, revealing the truth of the past/Kaladin and Szeth on the Therapy and Murder tour of Shinovar/Sigzil and the battle for the Shattered Plains and the tie in with Venli... All really great stuff!
Best character: Syl.
Character who is the coolest and I wish I'd seen more of: Dami, who they call the Stormwall. He was so dope and hardly in it.
Character I'd like to repeatedly kick in the nards for eternity: Moash. And Taravangian.
I missed the novella Dawnshard but judging by the scenes towards the end with Wit and Sigzil, I think I probably should have read it. I think my local library has it so I'll grab it soon.
Also they mentioned that Zahel was also called Warbreaker I think and he was a cool character so I think I might read the book of that name too.

Ha! True.
That said, I looked at my Sando collection and realized I've not read The LOST METAL yet, so maybe some Mistborn to get me back into the Cosmere first.

Rhythm of War was a tough one for me, but Wind and Truth was excellent for some reason.
It may be that I read a bunch on holiday so I had more time to get stuck into it, which I've not had with the previous books. In which case my experience might not reflect everyone elses.
