I'm not a big fan of Bleach and Naruto. Tried watching, but the series are just too long, and my mates have told me many episodes are really just filler.

Agree about Naruto, but Bleach is very much worth sitting through the fill to get to the good stuff. Plus there are so many damn episodes now (194?) you can fly through the crap.

So last night I was walking downtown for some pizza at like 1am with some friends of mine,
and someone said, "I'm so hungry I could eat a whole pizza."

I said, "I bet I could eat 100 pizzas," and no one understood me. I was sad.

Its pretty simple to bypass the filler episodes, and you dont miss out on anything. But I agree, they are too long. I prefer my old 26 episode series. You knew it was gonna end, and that made it all the sweeter.

Good and running now..?

Well that aint much but Gundam 00 is fun if predictable...sure better then the first season...

Kurozuka is beautiful...so is damn the name evades me...Mōryō no Hako...

Toradora...has the best begining but like all humor/romance it becomes kinda meh...

For those of you who still think Naruto or Bleach is watchable each of the above series are about infinitly better...and thats just whats on right now...

Noein was fantastic, I watched the whole series in a massive sleep-depriving anime fest. Excellent stuff.

Another one that is running now that's pretty cool is Toaru Majutsu no Index. Fun, looks good and a pretty interesting storyline sofar.

Also, Soul Eater has appareantly been officially licensed by FUNimation or whatever, soooo no subs for that one anymore :D 33 eps in, just 18 to go and this happens. Sucks massively.

Gurren Lagann I tried to watch, but got myself a dubbed version without subs, and I refuse to watch dubbed anime. Japanese voices and proper subs are the way to go. Anyway, between the currently running shows I'm also watching Claymore atm, and it's pretty good :p

Naruto and Bleach are jsut too long to get into, I did try to start Bleach two times because I was told it's awesome, but not particularly looking forward to catching up on that ungodly amount of eps... too much other stuff to see as well, I just don't have the time.

So I just started watching Code Geass and it's looking like something worth watching. I only get one Bleach a week (usually, sometimes those guys like to skip weeks) so maybe I'll try to catch up on that.

For those that have watched it, how many eps are there?

If you mean code geass, there are 50 episodes. Def worth watching imo
Not sure about bleach though, I never really got into that one. :/

Keep an eye out on www.stormberry.tv they usually have fansubs up there soon after an episode airs of ongoing animes.

Yeah I meant Code Geass. Bleach is up to 195 I think, while well worth it, I can see it being tough to try to catch up on that.

I think Bleach is still going on too (one of those never-ending series like Naruto).
Geass ended already and has a pretty kickass/intense last few episodes (imo at least, some people hated its pacing at the end, but lots of actions and plot twists).

You should also take a look at death note if you haven't already.

Death Note is fucking awesome.

Yes Bleach is still going on, we get a new one every week or so...or whenever they get subbed.

There was one Gundam series I watched a long time ago and can't remember the name of it for the life of me. It was something like a big tournament on an island...and....and....explosions and shit. I can't remember, but I liked it.

Anyone out there able to decipher that garble and point me in the right direction?

I can't be sure it was a gundam title at all. I remember there being like a bullfighter like guy, like a french dude, it was a battle royale between the countries I believe, the big guy was a dragon or some such thing.

you should check out (Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind) it's great.

'I am the Shield Anvil.' I am Fener's grief. I am the world's grief. And I will hold. I will hold it all, for we are not yet done. <Itkovian>
'We are not born innocent, simply unmeasured.' <Hull Beddict>
'Because a god visits her, Fist. He comes to break her heart. Again and again.'<Nether>
'Fucking dragon.' <Fiddler>
Take my breath. But not this one, not this one. <Apsalar>
'Aye.' It's a good word. I think. More a whole attitude than a word, really. With lots of meaning in it, too. A bit of 'yes' and a bit of 'well fuck' and maybe some 'we're all in this together.' So a word to some up the Malazans. <Sunrise>
