I love the way they think it is like a huge secret but both Rake and Caladan Brood know about it! ;) Just made me smile... So... just refresh my memory again... was the OD crucified by the other dragons so it souldn't go about cancelling all their warrens?

I think it was Hetan(could be wrong) who first suggested that crucifying the OD is how the mixed-bloods(Rake et al) sealed starvald demelain. It's somewhere in crazy theories.

'twas me.... one of my wilder and more speculative theories. Put together from the bits in HoC with Pearl and Lostara, and bits in MT with Feather Witch and Udinaas.
eh.... those were the days.... when a crazy theory was really crazy..... ;)

Incongruences in wording aside I still like my theory, that the OD is the Consort in the Eleint Hold. Or maybe not actually holding that position, but T'iam's twin sister. Or something else to signify, that it is in all things the opposite of T'iam.

But otataral doesn't work on elder warrens and SD is most definitely elder.

Again, the consort must be male, the OD is female..

When did that happen? I don't remember a reference to the OD being a her, did I miss something? doesn't ottataral effect the elder warrens? maybe it's a question of quantity.

You would need a lot of Otataral to defeat SD I think... but I reckon with enough you would be able to have some effect on an elder warren...

Pearl specificaly states the OD to be a she. No offence to you people, but this must be the tenth time -at least - that I've pointed this out.

I said 'incongruences in wording aside', didn't I? It's Featherwitch's visions, where the 'consort in the Hold of the Dragon is male' part comes from, and they're very symbolic and possibly flawed in that as well. Yes, of course the OD is female, but that doesn't mean the role of consort would be barred to it.

Well, the consort to the queen must by definition be male, so yes it would be barred from the position. Tiam being the queen most likely, I find it much more likely that the consort is Bloodeye.

Maybe Tiam plays for both sides? She IS a bit of a slut, y'know.

He is at the moment quite dead. he may be resurected later but at the moment, he's dead so my bet would be Osserc because he was the "last" to do "it" and have kids with Tiam. +don't be so hard on Tiam byss, if you blew up each time you had kids and had your kids drinking your blood, you'd need to keep busy to keep you from wringing all their scaly little necks...thats my opinion anyway.:D

Well, no, not quite... His body is very much dead. But don't forget, this happened a long time ago, before he became deaded. It is entirely possible Scabby is the consort. And his spirit still lives anyways (most likely on Drift Avalli...)

I see your point but Y drift Avalii? I thought he had his body on the laederon continent. wouldn't it be amoung those shade type things in the rock? possibly its own rock.

If scabby is the consort where does that leave our very female, very ottataral, very imprisoned Dragon? + do we peg her as good or bad for the health of the world in general?

okay...um out of curiosity since when is the Ottatarl dragon female...?
And I swear consort usually refers to male...and where do u get laederon continent from?

And Scabby is on Drift Avalli as is popular belief because the Throne of Shadow is there and Andarist tells cutter that being in this place can wake his soul. His=Scabby or so we believe

I'm sorry I ever suggested that one. I thought it'd be the usual soon-to-be-forgotten mad notion. Since it's caught on I know it'll come back to bite me.

what the scabby being on Drift Avalli?
Wasn't that established even before you showed up?

morgoth must be boiling right now.:D

as for drift avalii well ok. laederon came to my mind once again cause the body lies there. maybe you got to take the dragons body to drift avalii to resurect the scabster. or maybe just the head.
