His body is in a completely different place, provided we are right in the assumption that the thing that shouldn't be woken up is Scabby. And I don't know how Fear intends on waking Scabby, just that he wants to, and as soon as possible, cos he wants to get rid of the CG's influence from the Edur...

I looked up 'consort' and dictionary.com said nothing about the word being gender-specific ... and really, I don't see the gender as being a big part in considering, whether someone can be the Consort in the Hold of the Eleint or not. Who knows T'iam's preferences? :D

But of course the main reason for this theory is, that it would be a huge coincidence to have *two* pureblood Eleint in notable positions crucified for eternity, when there aren't all that many to begin with. Possible, but more unlikely than my crazy theory, or so I see it ...

Unless of course crucification is the customary punishment among dragons, since before time began, or something :D.

OD might not be female if Paerl doesn't know how to tell the difference. Sometimes it's hard to say among reptiles. They do not have.. you know what :D
Now seriously. It's maybe a crazy theory but I believe all the dragons are female. Do we know about any male pure blood Elaint?
As to Tiam's preferences, we know two of her lovers - both male. I believe Scabby to be the Consort and I'm 100% sure it's not Ossric.

Thats a very powerful argument Dakks...and in some ways supports one of those crazy theories... that the OD contains the soul of Scabandari.. a male soul in a female body.. :D It's been done before...

What happened to the original soul? A harsh sacrifice in the name of justice: Let me have your soul so I can use your body as a prison for this nasty bloke....
I'd say no thanks.

it's not relevant in that it really does belong in the crazy theories thread....

however we have seen two instances of soulshifting into empty vessels... the child Silverfox, and the woman whose unborn child appears to now contain the soul of Coltaine... delivered by crowpost iirc.

I thought Scabandari's punishment sounded like his soul was used to seal a wounded warren. That's when Fear mentions it.
FW's vision of the consort sounds like the OD, though.

"They [the elder gods] then made for Bloodeyes' spirit a prison of eternal pain, of agony beyond measure, to last until the Abyss devoured itself"
(not Patch's Brainzzz..lol)
You may have taken the soul sealing a warren idea from something I stuck in with the crazy theories.

but Scabs 'prison' sounds so much like the Crippled Gods form... even the attempt to pull together the tattered fragments of Emurlahn.. the usurping of the Edur... ah well...

I think its got to do with her saying its a balance or something. I also would like to get a quote on her exact words. I can't get them myself so anyone got them?

Can't remember the exact quote, but in one of her readings FW says the consort is in agony nailed to a tree. Something like that.

Here are both of FW's prophecy/foretelling/whatevers...

The Eleint – chaos given flesh and that flesh is draconic. Ruled by the Queen, who must be slain again and again by every child that she bears. And her Consort, who loves none but himself. Then Liege, servant and guardian and doomed to eternal failure. Knight, the very sword of chaos itself – ‘ware his path. And Gate, that which is the Breath. Wyval. spawn of the dragons, and the Lady, the Sister, Blood-Drinker and Path-Shaper, The Fell Dragons

The Queen lies dead and may never again rise. The Consort writhes upon a tree, and whispers with madness of the time of his release. The Liege is lost, dragging chains in a world where to walk is to endure, and where to halt is to be devoured. The Knight strides his own doomed path, soon to cross blades with his own vengeance. Gate rages with wild fire. Wyval..Locqui Wyval waits. The Lady and the Sister dance around each other, each on their own side of the world. Blood Drinker waits as well, waits to be found. Path-Shaper knows fever in his blood and staggers on the edge of the precipice…

If you all are thinking a tree is kinda similar to a crusifix than it could be the OD but I think its a bit farfetched. Consort loves none but himself, my first tought was Scabandari. And he can't be the OD because thats female (or could that be the eternal torment they gave him).

Cruel and unusual, very cruel and unusual. I read that there were two crucified dragons somewhere around here. That alows scabby to be his own mass of torment and pain and possible insanity so that puts us back at square one. What is the OD?

By da way would the liege be ossric in that time bubble?

My Guesses such as they are ...

The Queen lies dead and may never again rise. = ???

The Consort writhes upon a tree, and whispers with madness of the time of his release. = ???

The Liege is lost, dragging chains in a world where to walk is to endure, and where to halt is to be devoured. = Draconus (in the sword Dragnipur)

The Knight strides his own doomed path, soon to cross blades with his own vengeance. = Anomader Rake (wasn't his 1st sword called Vengence ?)

Gate rages with wild fire. Wyval..Locqui Wyval waits. = ?

The Lady and the Sister dance around each other, each on their own side of the world. = ?

Blood Drinker waits as well, waits to be found. = wasn't this the thing that was awakened in the posted prolog ?

Path-Shaper knows fever in his blood and staggers on the edge of the precipice…= could possibly be Icarum - could be Ganoes Paran, could also be K'rul

The dead queen thing could be related to the whole dragons-willing-to-destroy-the-world-for-vengeance thing. If Tiam is REALLY dead, who's responcible?

The Consort sounds like Scabandari and his eternal prison of pain. Supporting that is the fact that we know he and Tiam had a child, and "Loves none but himself" sounds fitting for him.

Liege. I agree.
Knifgt. I agree and yes with the sword.

Wyval waiting was the wyval in Udinaas, waiting for when his master(Ruin) needed his help in Letheras to surface.

A good theory about Lady and Sister is the former is Envy and the latter is Spite. Lady Envy and Sister Spite....it fits.

Blood Drinker, I think, is Ruin. He was waiting to be found(by the wyval and the wraith;Wither) in the azath, and we were told that he drank deeper of Tiam's blood than anyone(or Rake, at least).

Path Shaper is certainly K'rul. He was known by Raest as "Maker of Paths", and fevered blood would be the CG's poisoning of the warrens. This is one of the clues as to when MT is set in relation to MoI; they overlap.

The Queen is Tiam - the bit about being slain time and time again by every child, is the proof.

The Lady and the Sister...hmm I still think this is Menandore and Sukhul..because of the "dancing around each other, each on their own side of the world" so it's Dawn and Dusk. Also Menandore is referred to as 'The Lady' in MT.

Gate - I think the 'rages with wild fire' bit makes that Osserc?

Wyval is - yeah the same one..in MT.

Blood drinker = Silchas and Path Shaper is K'rul

could a gate actually be a gate?...just wondering because rages with wild fire puts me in the mind of a wound within the warrens, something like the broiling chaos behind the wagon in dragnipur...but it probably is a person, i just don't think it is osserc

Wasn't the OD blocking a gate? Like OD = Gate. Raging with wildfire, I'd be raging if I had to hang on a cross for that long. Don't know what Loqui Wyval means, but she has nothing else to do but to wait... or should this be in the crazy theories thread? :D
