well, friday afternoon i saw the rough cut of the first episode, and though i admit that i generally only see the flaws in my own work (not to suggest in any way that the dark is solely my own work), i was kinda impressed. in fact, it was really very satisfying to see the footage edited together. everyone else absolutely loved it, and i can't wait to release it...

the two episodes are edited and in sound right now getting some spetacularly spooky sound f/x... launch of episode 1 is early september ...

and the delays go on ... yes, i have had to change several launch dates, but meh ... some of the biggest hollywood blockbusters have had serious delays ... this time it was a personal reason (my father's passing - see you on the other side, dad) ... the animation sequences look better than they have a right to be at this budget level, and the music; well, i know i have a hit with the music even if the video falls on its face (which it won't) ... now, if we can only agree on the credits ...

... oh yeah, it looks like the remaining novels of the malazan book of the fallen will be delayed three years (though i am expecting the first chapters of 'toll the hounds' any day) while SE cranks out equivalent to 39 episodes of television drama ... so sorry, but i'm sure you understand ...

I hope the three year delay (or there abouts) is worth it for SE, then I think everyone here would be willing to wait it out.
