Blackfort Driving range - open for Business

Hot damn
it has been nearly four and a half YEARS since I first sat down for a preliminary meeting with the architect for this project.
We finally opened on Sunday 29th August (our wedding anniversary (man my wife loved that ))
Is the project finished? Nope, the guys supplying the render for the exterior finish let us down repeatedly, but we had to open.
3 days in, well its the "honeymoon" phase of the business, but we are booming, having to refill the ball dispenser every night so far.
Have moved up plans for the coffee shop, and wifey is seriously considering dropping to a 3/4 day week at the hospital.
Fucking delightd
Exhausted
But delighted

Should have gone with Dreadfort. Your flag would have been super cool.
Map pin, please! My bad, it's on the Fakebook page.
EDIT: a local restaurant called "Wabbit Huntin Gwounds"?

Is 250 yards long enough? I don't golf so ...
Ugh, the Google Maps satellite photo is shite resolution, you need to get them to update it posthaste! And a Streetview drive down the road wouldn't go astray.
Am I asking too much? No.
Congrats anyway. Are you going to be there every day, from early until late? Or it is totally self-sufficient and you just pop in twice a day?

I mean, reading that article, I'm a bit upset you didn't thank all of us on the forums for being your strength this whole time, but whatever...

Generic questions
The balls are 90mph limited, so around here there's only a few guys can put it over the fence.
At the minute I'm here non stop, but that's also still finishing bits and pieces, and we're busy enough that I'm constantly topping up the ball hopper, and some teething problems with the card machine etc need my supervision.

I am happy for you. If I lived close by I'd definitely pop in regularly.
The one by mine is booming, always full. They have a bar, each section is covered. They have targets close and far. They offer membership discounts, so I have a card in my wallet. If I put £10 on I get a 10% discount, £20 a 15% and £50 20% discount. Its around £10 for 100 balls.
They have a golf shop that sells clubs, golf gear and that.
An 18 hole crazy gold course opened on site, and recently a 6 hole chip and put course opened on site too.
I'm jealous of you, I hope it is successful!

Two things off the hop, beyond congrats and how happy I am for you:
As a graphic designer/prepress guy...that logo is GORGEOUS and simple. Love it.
The place looks great in the photos too. Clean and modern.
Really well done.
Now I just need to make another trip to Ireland to see it one day in person!
EDIT: Is that you and the wife in the photo for the paper, or customers?

Yeah that's me and Wifey.
Hands photoshopped to normal proportions naturally.
A bar is probably a no for here alas, but the coffee shop has been rapidly bumped up on the time frame.
The logo was my wife's best friend in SA, I agree, it's an awesome logo, can't wait to get some branded promo gear in!
Thanks all for the well wishes

Yeah that's what I was thinking. This will look clean and fresh on any type of merch you want to sell. Great stuff!

It's a very nice looking facility, which I'm sure will be successful and see many expansions over time. To echo QuickTidal, it's a lovely logo too.
Congratulations and I will actually make time in my next England trip (at some point in the next 5 years) to come up there and a few other places as well.
