That sounds good Khell. I think as long as Tatts doesn't play TECH early (which looks to me like he has no good reason to do so, so he own't) then IH can't counterattack you particularly strongly 'cause he doesn't have Lightwave deflectors so he can't get his other war sun to MR. He would have to send pretty much all his dreads and flagship to MR to have a chance at beating you, and even then if you've got your 4 mechs all on the planet he'll have a hard time winning the ground fight, too. I doubt he'd go for it, but if he really did I'd be happy to send some ships to try and snipe his homeworld or Abyz/Fria.

Plus it'd be really great if you ate his war sun and didn't give it back so he's stuck with just the 1 for the rest of the round.

I don't think I can reach MR with War Suns/mechs - they're blocked off. But I can reach it with my flagship, dreads, and regular infantry.

Ohh I misremembered, thought you had Lightwave. Still basically the same logic though, Ih would still have to move a lot of his dreads/FS to retake MR and if you keep the war sun you kill he can't rebuild it and use that to tip the odds.

Stalling him from doing what? The important thing is to knock MR before he can play IMPERIAL with it on his first turn. After that, just try to avoid letting him qualify for objectives, especially 2VP ones.

I figure give ourselves as many opportunities as possible. So if I fail now, you can take MR on your go. Or, if I succeed, and then IH retakes it, you can try to push him off again.
