Instead of restitution and moving on you go straight to the nuclear option. You just stated you were willing to spend 4 trade goods and throw away up to 24 resource value of units to stop IH from getting my racial instead of just giving me 6 resources of value.

Clearly you still haven't learned your lesson. I'm ahead in the cost of units lost war. It would have been even more if not for some serious swingy luck on both ends of your vendetta. Of course I'm in it to win it. Owning Ixth secures 2 possible future objectives and gives me a big boost towards 3 other POs. Eliminating you makes it more likely I can recoup a SftT VP after misplaying the SftT exchanges in the early game.

Besides, you've only offered to promise not to give IH your faction PN in exchange for the 6 TGs, which is not binding (as opposed to offering to give it to me, which would guarantee preventing IH from using it). Probably you would just take the TGs, sell it to IH anyways, and then attack me more with those war suns regardless.

@Khell and @Morgoth is it time we are going to be making moves or are we just going to sit in our slices protected but boring. I don't mean against each other, better to fight distant enemies than ones on our doorstep. I know Tapper is point leader but IH looks to be in the strongest position. I guess if no moves are made then it'll be down to chance to see who gets there in the end, all the bickering like last game. Whoever grabs politics/imperial at the right time wins. With Imperial IH can score Mec Rex, score a PO and then PO/SO at the end of the round so a good 4 or 5 point swing in his direction then it'll be too late to stop him.

So I've just realised something: My PDS shots DO NOT capture destroyed units. 'Devour' is only activated during combat, and the Space Cannon portion comes before combat. I don't think my PDS shots have ever actually successfully destroyed anything as yet, but worth bearing in mind should it happen later. I believe, however, this is overridden if my flagship is in the same system, as the text on that simply says anything destroyed in that system is captured without saying 'during combat.'

He has proclaimed himself the villain of the game. When given the option to sell the make-Mecatol-nigh-invulnerable to someone else for the same price, i.e. equally beneficial to him but better for the galaxy as a whole, what did he say? He said "nah, only if you pay me an exorbitant fee much higher than my original cost".

Twelve isn't going to do anything to help anyone but himself. Those war suns aren't going to do anything to help you Tatts, ever. They are just going to come after me in a continuous bloody assault, with infinitely respawning infantry. Twelve said he wanted to take my homeworld back in round 2, he'll just keep trying to do that. This is necessary self defense for me.

Yeah, you haven't captured anything off of PDS shots so far, but good to keep that in mind.

Can't use Diplomacy on a system without a planet you control - and he didn't control Ixth at the time.
