Eugh, I forgot the big bad at the end was Forkrul Assail. After the FA kinda sorta coming out of nowhere as the big bads in TCG, it annoys me that they're the big bad here, too. Firstly because now it's like the FA are always the go-to big bad and the characterization of their whole race winds up being one-dimensional. Secondly, of course, 'cause the whole big mystery of Assail was *supposed* to be that the worst thing on Assail was humans after all, as setup waaaay back in MoI.

Yeah and they're not really humans so it feels a bit hollow.
Maybe we need a redemption book for the FA? Not sure where I've seen that done before though.
