There is no struggle too vast, no odds too overwhelming, for even should we fail - should we fall - we will know that we have lived. ~ Anomander Rake
My sig comes from a game in which I didn't heed Blend's advice. So maybe this time I should. ~ Khellendros
I'm just going to have to come to terms with the fact that self-vote suiciding will forever be referred to as "pulling a JPK" now, aren't I? ~ JPK

I am more than just a little curious to see what faction I’ll get

Indeed, it would be the only fair way to play.

I assume tatts picked Sol, so we don't need to wait for his PM.

Khell what are you thinking about all the new abilities and races?
I'm very excited. The leader additions (agents, commanders, one-time use heroes!) are what I'm really intrigued by and how much they'll affect or change the game. The mechs less so, but it's nice to have another combat addition. I like that exploring is now more involved too and could reveal some great surprises. And I like how the designers seem to have taken the approach of, "well, these races seem quite strong, but instead of nerfing them, let's make everyone else more crazy too!" Of the new races, the Nomad initially intrigues me the most. The Titans strike me as potentially really strong.
There's one bit that I still don't understand - capture for fighters and ground forces. I get it for the other units, but for these it says you return them to the reinforcements, but then place your own equivalent on your faction sheet, until an ability returns them...but whose ability? I mean, those are now your forces you've put on your own faction sheet, so...I'm so confused I don't even know how to finish this sentence. And what's the supply and how is it different from the reinforcements?
I want to know about your last game, seems that it was really close judging by the points!
Thanks all for the lovely words. It honestly does mean a lot. You can keep the condoms, though, Tatts, but I appreciate the thought.
I could have edited the post to not include it but I thought you might find it humorous. Love you Khell.
The Nomad and Titans seem like they'll be easier to play than some of the other races that's for sure.
I like the additions to some of the older races too. I'm glad we are not banning g any races from this game.

Submitted my picks. If I remember last time I played, I selected the Letnev and then ended up being wedged between the two races that seemed specifically designed to counter the Letnev, so I'm presuming something similar happens this time

Yes, the Omega stuff is officially part of the PoK expansion stuff now, so when playing PoK expansion stuff (and even when we aren't) we use the Omega updates.
They were updates to some abilities that came a few months before the expansion was released as part of a codex.

You're between Morgoth and Tatts, so one of your neighbours will be Sol and the other will be Morgoth. He's always a good neighbour, but maybe a little too good if you know what I mean.

I have fond memories of being Morgoth's neighbour in the very first game. In the last game when we were also neighbours, he did his level best to completely ignore my existence. Don't know why...

Yep, he's in bottom middle - I'm between Twelve and Morgoth.
