For general information on what units are and how they work - the rulebook.
For specific information on particular units - the faction sheets and the wiki.

The reference thread's main purpose is to cover the different card combinations, give the exact text/formatting for things that were converted from cards/physical pieces into forum text, and explain the parts where forum games differ from real games. Anything else that is the same as what's in the rulebook doesn't need to be there... else I'd be spending way too many extra hours trying to paraphrase a billion things that are already in the rulebook anyway.

Do you mean the Frontier tokens? If you have the new Dark Energy Tap tech, then you can 'explore' them like with planets and get some kind of goody.

I did think about choosing Titans, they seem to be widely considered the best of the new races, but they seemed highly focused around influence which I don't have much of.

And then the sleeper tokens can convert like: Sleeper Token -> PDS -> Flagship . OR . Sleeper Token -> Mech+Infantry

You are also a strong PDS faction so would benefit a lot from my alliance card and the use of my hero (you'd get an extra PDS shot/bombard/AFB), and you are sure to have many PDS on the board.

I think a mutual deal regarding PDS (we don't fire on each others ships but if someone else attacks our PDS defends the other) and alliance swap could be beneficial for us both.


You'd be free to expand into any vacated saar territory and I'd be able to build the little fortress of my dreams.


I'd be willing to do this if you cede atlas to me.

I know we had a stormy relationship last game, but I hope we can have a better one this game.

Yeah, it's the second option.

Scanlink is "When you activate a system, ..."
TERRAGENESIS is "After you explore a planet..."
AWAKEN is "After you activate a system, ..."

"When" always resolves before all "after" effects. And since Scanlink is "when" it resolves in its entirety before the "when you activate" timing window is over. TERRAGENESIS' timing window of "after you explore" is therefore still within the larger "when you activate" part, before the "after you activate" effects can be done.


So:

1. Activate the system
1.b. Use Scanlink -> Explore the planet (draw exploration card and immediately resolve its effects)
1.b.ii Can use TERRAGENESIS
2. Can use AWAKEN
3. The rest of the tactical action

Why do you think there'll be a lot of PDS with Winnu and Argent? I get it with Titans but Argent are geared towards Fighters and Winnu Rex. You know the way Twelve plays. Straight to Rex, bunker down. So his PDS will mainly be on there.

Argent are geared around PDS and destroyers, I don't see why they'd ever go fighters, and winnus mech builds a pds and space dock when they take a planet.
