I'm just going to have to come to terms with the fact that self-vote suiciding will forever be referred to as "pulling a JPK" now, aren't I? ~ JPK

Has the action card where you can research a tech gone by yet?
If I got that, I could give Tatts my Research Agreement, research Fleet Logistics for him to copy, and if Tatts gets technology, I could trade it back to him again, research X-89 for him to copy, and then as his second action on his turn he could potentially take Drek's homeworld.

Plagiarize has been played. Focused Research has not (but it requires 4 TG).
Yes, well, with ERes, its pretty easy for me to get someone to get me the 1 extra TG I need for that. So fingers crossed I guess!
I have focused research. And the above doesn't work as d'rek would go before you could do the the research.

If Drek has Imperial, I'd go before her, so I don't think so.
Though it's a moot point if you have Focused Research. Owell.

Not if tatts took technology. You'd have to research after technology has been played.

Also, it would not be a tie. One of you would win and one of you would still lose, depending on initiative order/speaker order. So I can't see the losing player agreeing to this since they get nothing out of it, unless they're really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really spitefully mad at me... and I don't think I did anything *that* bad to anyone this game???

Yeah, the tech exchange thing won't work with the actual TECH strategy card, because there will be no time for anyone to make a move between then and my turn. You'd have to do it with Focused Research, or with the tech from the agenda.

No, if I gave Tatts my Research Agreement during agenda phase, had focused research and say Warfare, I would play before Tatts, use Focused Research to research FLeet Logistics, Tatts would copy, then I'd throw some ships at her HW to weaken the ships there if I could, and trade my Research Agreement back to Tatts, then on Tatts' turn he would use Tech, I'd research X-89, he would copy, then cause he already has Fleet Logistics, he could take another action to attack her HW.
But again, totally moot.

Don't worry, I wouldn't do that, it's a straight up dick move, and I prefer my dick moves to be less straight up.

Shit, I've played a few games on TTS and since then I always forget that we don't do secondaries immediately in forum format. If we were playing IRL, we could manage the above. LoL

Your research from him playing TECH wouldn't happen until your next turn.
And you could skip the Fleet Logistics + TECH strategy card parts and just do Focused Research -> he copies X-89. No point in Fleet Logistics if the first action of his turn is just going to be getting X-89 anyways.
Also... I still have his ceasefire.

No tatts plays tech, you don't actually research anything until your next turn so he can't copy x89. In a real life game with simultaneous secondaries that would work but not with forum rules.
In a real life game you could trade your racial back mid research and do a double research if he took technology but in this case it doesn't work.
I guess the game could also end with an action phase SO if tatts or blend have one.

So yeah, I don't see any way that we can prevent Drek from winning at this point.

1. Vote AGAINST on Wormhole Research so I don't diplo my HW.
2. You draw a flank speed. Someone draws a sabotage.
3. Twelve picks Leadership and plays it first thing
4. You use leadership secondary to put more CTs in your fleet pool
5. You attack my HW with flagship + 4 cruisers w/ 4 inf on your first turn. Should be a close battle, but it's possible.
6. Whoever drew that sabotage plays it when I play Parley on your invasion of Moll Primus.
7. Win the ground combat in Moll Primus.
^^seems like the only way
Well, that or similar to the above but with IH attacking and I roll zero hits against his lone cruiser.
