Spoiler
I loved that Ali was brought back in not just for nostalgia sake, but for two reasons...1. to refocus Johnny on Carmen (I really liked that), and 2. to show Johnny and Daniel that they are Superman and Batman, flip sides of the same coin and to really make a success of their dojo's and defeat the Cobra Kai's, they have to work together and stop fighting.
Also, that last phonecall and the whole flashbacks to Kreese in 'Nam served not only to give him a backstory that lines up with who he is....but also because that dude he saved and called was none other than KK III villain, and original Cobra Kai owner Terry Silver. I knew Silver would show up eventually, since he and Kreese were so tight AND he got a dialogue mention in S1.
So S4 will be training of Miyagi-Do/Eagle Fang together to face Kreese, Silver, Robby, and Tori (Cobra Kai) at All Valley. DOPE!
I also LOVED how they used Kumiko and Chozen in their roles as helping Daniel learn new things in karate, and about the world or even Tomi village moving forward. I HOPE they show up in S4 in a support capacity.
The scene where Kumiko read Daniel Miyagi's letter to Yukie about how he felt like Daniel was the son he'd always wanted...both then wife and I were in tears. SO well done!
Hawk turning his cloak at the last minute back to the good side when he realized that Cobra Kai was drifting from what he'd signed up for, coupled with his grief over what he did to Dimitri, and how his relationship with Miguel was gone and replaced by someone as self-involved as Kyler...just a really great scene, and the hand grip team-up bit after that was awesome. As was Sam and Tori's fight.
And now we have to wait till S4! It will be an agonizing wait.
Wife has turned my forthcoming zoom Bday party with my friends into a Cobra Kai-themed one...and I'll be dirking Coors Banquet in honour of Johnny! LOL
