Yeah I still got 5% left in the Venator wreck and now clue what I missed. Also a 2 or 5 % on Zeffo and the nature planet so idk. You can't go through the entire temple of Miktrul because you brought down the giant glass thingy in which was a sphere, it allowed you to walk atop it and get to the other side which is the only way to reach a vine. It leads to a small area that looks cool and has a chest.

It sucks that you saw the SPOILER because .... well, yeah. That is one SPOILER that should remain hidden until found.

The bounty hunters? I managed to deal with them decently. On Dathomir I kept close to the cliffs and when they were in the right place after charging me I just pushed off the cliff.

This game is really fun! I'm playing on Jedi Master difficulty, which feels like just the right amount. I love the exploring and the sound design of this game. The atmosphere is so good, and so far I've been quite pleased with what little I've seen of the story.

About that last secret

So you need to go the place where you learned to wall run. There's a slope going up, you will insta slide on it and get back down so what you need to do is wall run and jump from wall to wall until you get up there. Then you wall run and jump from wall to wall back the way you came but keeping level this time. At the end of the narrow passage is a vine. Grab it and then swing to a second vine if I recall (can't recall if there's a second vine or not). Swing from that onto a wall section that you need to run on and jump onto the ledge and voila, you've reached the last secret on Bogano. Took me about 20 tries to get it right.

Also, my favorite bit of the Inquisition fortress was that training room for the Purge troopers. That was so much fun.

I've fought 4 proper bosses I think? I'm in the second temple, at least the second one I've reached, maybe there are other ways to go about it.

The only one that's been really tough so far was the toad. I needed some 15 tries I think, though I suspect I should have gone back to it later rather than fight it when I found it first time around. It was also the most boring boss fight I think, it got pretty repetitive quick. The albino spider was fun but also very easy, took three tries to figure it out. The big fat guy on Zeffo was fairly easy to deal with too. Deflecting and jumping down on top of him from above got me through the fight in four tries. My favourite fight, the only truly tense and fun one so far was against the Second Sister at the access point of the second temple on Zeffo. I "finished" in my first try, which maybe you do no matter how the battle goes, but it was tense and fun and long all the same! Parries, dodges, force powers and combat skills, I had to utilize them all. It felt just like I wanted a fight with a sith to feel.


I am enjoying the combat. I suspect I'm under-utilizing parry and keeping too much of my focus on dodging and rolling. The dodge, kick, slow and double square combo is too good though.


I haven't gotten too far into the story, but what I've seen so far has been enjoyable. The Second Sister reveal gave me that good star wars feeling, and strengthened my already growing suspicion of my "ally". Though it remains to be seen whether that's true or if I too am being manipulated by the dark side.

Parrying becomes second nature in sekiro; they widened the window around the tap to make it easier than DS and Bloodborne, and when you tap at the precise moment to parry multiple hits it becomes the only real way of beating the later bosses.

That's why I'm interested, I want to see if it's just an optional form of defense or if you can use it as a legit way of winning if you do it right.

I still find the look of the main guy really off-putting though; he just looks so like the default boring 'everyman' that should appeal to players instead of a legit new character in SW.

I am not sure I particularly like the way he looks, but I wouldn't call him an everyman. Red hair, long face, a pronounced and somewhat jutting lower jaw. He doesn't look anything like the typical action protagonist, at least not to me.

So I got quite a bit further yesterday. Kashyyk take 2 was such a fun ride

I loved the level design and the tense feel of it. And those creepy flowers! Sliding down the tree while being shot at by blasters, flying to the top on a giant bird!

The 9th sister fight was great too. I wish there were more of these. They're so much more interesting than the monster bosses. I got my ass handed to me the first time around. Her reach was always longer than I expected, and the shock-wave thing did a number on me. On the second try I had her measure though and found a good combo of parries and dodge rolls in combination with slow. Slow is pretty much my go to power all the time in this game. That is, when I'm not pulling in storm troopers and throwing them at their comrades. I'm not a sith! That little delay slow provides is all I need to get a few good hits in, or even a proper overhead power attack. But even so the fight was tense! I can't wait to face off against the 2nd sister again and beat her properly.

There's been a number of other sub-bosses too, which have been fun. The bounty hunters. I got beat to shit by a droid and woke up in a prison, all Bloodborne like. That was a cool twist, but it came kind of out of nowhere I thought, even though I had heard of the gambling and the loan and all that. Fought my way through an arena, and faced off against the droid again. I need a couple of tries on that one. The secret turned out to just deflect his blaster bolts back at him and otherwise keep it close and personal. No room for that charge power attack that I found very difficult to dodge. The other bounty hunters I've met later on have all been good fun. Different combinations of droids and hunters, though they've typically not been all that challenging. Especially after I got Lightsaber mastery. That in combination with the stims-refill-power skill really trivialized a lot of these encounters. The, uhm, charge attack with the overhead power attack does a brutal amount of damage. I can do that, dodge back, do it again and again, refill my force-pool and do it all over.

Now it's off to Dathomir for the main questline. Though I might explore Zeffo some more first.

Do you ever get other lightsaber crystals, and if so, have I missed any?

I finished it! Well worth it, I truly enjoyed this game. The best star wars game in gods know how long. The story, the characters, the music and the action was all excellent. I still wish a star wars game would be more bold in exploring some themes and aspects of the force, but you can't have it all.

I did not expect to crash into Vader at the end, but that was pretty cool. I like that the game shows you that even though you've accomplished all these things, you are nothing compared to Vader and his master. Like children playing with lightsabres. In the end the end felt very obvious because we know no new jedi were trained. That's the problem of putting all the stories in this small window of time. Still, it felt satisfying all the same.

Dathomir felt the weakest part of the game to me. Malicos was a fun boss battle, but otherwise he felt like an irrelevant distraction. I needed three tries to take him down in the end. Timing it so I could throw the boulders back at him, and slowing him just as you break through his guard became the solution for me. That and doing quick dodges against his red downward stroke. It left me with more force, and right in his face for an overhead attack.

Otherwise the remaining boss fights, though mostly fun, felt quite easy. The mini-boss on Dathomir I killed easily by throwing my lightsabre at it until it fell. The second sister required nothing more than side dodges and slow, as with the ninth. I won the fight in my first attempt, both times.

I enjoyed the fighting in this game. The force powers felt strong and satisfying, and all combat required focus, even against stormtroopers. Still, unlike Sekiro, parrying in this game felt unnecessary. I played as I play Bloodborne, maximum in your face agression followed by quick dodges, and that worked fine all of the time. A relentless beating down through an enemy's guard turned out to be as efficient as parries without the risk of missing the parry window. It was fairly generous, even on Master, but better rarely worth the risk I found.

A very good game, and a truly ejoyable campaign. Would recommend it to anyone.
