thats race dependant, lol. and also depends on status.

as far as humans are concerned, it depends on class but id estimate between 30-80 without alchemy
maybe a 100+ with alchemies? not sure

wot do you reckon for practitioners of magic then cos to me they just seem older than most of the other characters and i was wonderin if it was down to alchemy or if it was something they get from their use of magic

I thought that the average age was 40 maybe 50, for anyone except the very rich the world is like a pre-industrial society where 40 was old.
With alchemies, depending on there strength you could maybe push to 100
Warren practioners seem to live to 300+, theres no upper limit as far as i'm aware.

no with alchemy a human can make 600-700 years heboric on the first empire. Normal humans no alchemy. 30-80 I would say. Judging on tattersail and cowl mages do seem to live a lot longer. ascendants untill killed

Keeper, in HoC (who i guess is Dassem or another associate of Kellanved, maybe Crust or Urko) says they received Longevity from their association with the Deadhouse while Fiddler says he received longevity from his treck through raraku chasing Quick Ben. Seems as if the main characters all do not lead normal spanned lives ... i wonder how old Whiskeyjack was when he died. (suuuure he's dead).

I hate to do this, but SE clearly stated WJ would not be resurected or brought back in any of his malazan books...

Yeah, I was gonna ask HOW exactly is Dujek 79 (clearly stated in GotM) and he's from the Old Guard of an emperor, who created an empire which is 100+ years old?

I think in Gardens of the Moon it says Tattersail is over 200 years old.

I recall reading about how exposure to denul (high?) increased your lifespan, so if you have no magical talent but your good friend, who does, heals you up magically all the time you will live significantly longer than if you didn't get hurt at all. I could be imagining this but id does make sense denul could hael other problems in your body reverting organs back to a healthier state therefore they last longer and so do you.
