Alright, we'll see. Nom I am going to make myself speaker, any incentive to make you speaker instead?
Tapper, we'll see what we can do about reparation before I take my turn then. You should plan your first move accordingly.

Hi @tatts, maybe I can make a deal with you. I would hate to be 8th/9th again for third time in a row.

What are you thinking?
You are on 7 VP, you scoring PO's this round, and taking Imperial next round could be quite bad for all of us. Imperial and going first, 5 VP's to score. Could be very very bad.

And (what seems like) for a 4th time, it comes to me and I have a choice of the shitty Diplomacy and Warfare.
To be hounest, I really do feel like with 9 players there should be more strategy cards. This "Politics" Cartel which can ensue really feels lame.
With 3/4/5/6 players you get stuck in the semi last or last pick with either Diplo / construction/ and what ever card is bad at that moment. It allows for choices.
Being last pick or semi last pick in this variant with 9 players just subtracts from the strategy card phase.
" Do I pick Diplo which will help the other players at the table more then me "
" Do I pick Warfare which literally benefits me this round in no way at all "
For the 8th and 9th player there is no " strategy phase", there is a " what card do I get phase ". I find that a shame

I have been on the shit end of a Politics cartel before too, and I totally agree that it's absolute shit. Mind you, I wasn't anywhere near first place when I was in that situation, so you're still doing fairly well for yourself!
It's also why the last game we did, we tried running 2 6-player games simultaneously using only the 8 regular strategy cards - I agree that it's more fun when there's still a bit of choice left for the last player in the strategy phase.
If you stick around for more games after this one, maybe we can talk about creating a couple more strategy cards!

Anybody who I don't owe a free trade refresh can purchase a "free" trade refresh for the low low price of 1TG, or if you don't have TG's I'll buy your trade PN at a 1 TG discount. If you don't wish to give me TG, I'll take 3 votes on the next agenda phase in the direction of my choice.

You owe me a free refresh, and 3TGs for stealing Trade from me

If you stick around for more games after this one, we can always
Blend if I recall you were the first person to come up with selling speaker to the highest bidder in that game
I'm constantly surprised by these politics cartels still existing, in my opinion they generally benefit those not in the cartel more than those in it!

Yeah, and it bit me in the ass pretty hard cause once I sold it to the other side of the table, it never made its way back to our side of the table again. Given my slice was extra weak, and you and Twelve pretty much curtailed any dreams of expansion, it made for a game where I had very little that I could do most of the game. That was easily my worst game, despite the shit show that was my attempt at playing Muatt.

So guys, what's the plan for knocking D'rek off MR? I'm happy to provide moral support.

@ Tapper:
Blend has brought it to my attention that I forgot to actually ever give the L1Z1X my Trade Agreement - I meant to do it in the agenda phase, forgot, and Jazz wasn't around to remind me about it.
I'm happy to give it to you on my first action instead...any chance you'd let me keep it though? Like, what if I switched off PDS on Wellon for you?
