Arya takes a shot at Dany, Jon stops her, Dany sets to dracarys Arya into cinders, Jon kills Dany, Jon fucks off to the North to hunt rabbits with Ghost, Sansa and Tyrion, already married, unite Stark and Lannister, Arya and Gendry unite Stark and Baratheon, 'the Game continues' but the story is over.

You forgot the epilogue scene in which Bran stares into the distance, then his eyes roll up to show the whites and he wargs into some ravens who fly out across the land. As they fly, the flock grows in size and then disperse across the seven kingdoms, from Winterfell to the Vale, to Dragonstone, Storm's End and highGarden, past Sunspear and Pyke. In each graveyard or killing field that they fly over, something starts stirring in the ground and in the final shot some skeletal hands break through the soil. The end.

Or... just reveals there are more WW far up North, who didn't instantly shatter when the NK died? The other WW at Winterfell all shattered when he died, presumably because he created them from human infants. But perhaps the CotF made more than one, and they hanged back in the far North as a contingency plan?...

As to Jon being night watch commander, I don't particularly buy that, but they could always have the walker threat reborn (remember that Walker baby the night king turned?)

I actually find the ideas about Bran the far less likely part of the rumor.
Tatts early in SH game: Hmm, so if I'm liberal I should have voted Nein to make sure I'm president? I'm not that selfish

Tatts later in SAME game: I'm going to be a corrupt official. I have turned from my liberal ways, and now will vote against the pesky liberals. Viva la Fascism.
When Venge's turn comes, he will get a yes from Mess, Dolmen, Nevyn and Venge but a no from the 3 fascists and me. **** with my Government, and i'll **** with yours

Sorry, I must confess I skim-read that one. But that in itself surely means that either those Reddit rumours are pretty illogical, or the show has degenerated into being pretty illogical? So I don't understand how such rumours can have any persistence to them. I imagine this will have been pointed out countless times inside that thread as well.

They also filmed multiple, contradictory endings to confuse the leakers.

The show kind of muddied this all up when they made Cersei able to take power with no kids remaining.

I think this is fine. Cersei is a queen of nothing. She sits on the Iron Throne and controls kings landing and .... nothing else. She doesn't control even her own ancestral castle, the the North (active rebellion), the vale (ignoring her to outright rebellion), the riverlands (recently quelled but waiting to rebel), Dorne (active rebellion), the Reach (highgarden is sacked, the Tarly's went over and the Tyrells are extinct but Id say the lords of the reach love her not), The Stormlands (Supported Renly, then Stannis but never the queen or her children). In the show but not the books Euron for some reason is willing to give cersei the Iron fleet so he can have sex withher Thats terrible writing. They could have at least simplified the book story that he plans to seduce cersei, become king and then kill her.

Absolutely illogical, unless they know something we don't yet know? The reason this is the strongest is because these people leaked/predicated 95% accuracy Episodes 1-5 so far...

Again, I'm not sure what that means, or how it would fit...

Cersei was valid as Queen because in theory she could have an heir, and if not the Lannisters were still a big family with various cousins available. Euron was happy for the sexytime, but 'putting a prince inside her' was the goal.

Any kind of 'the white walkers are still out there' ending seems unlikely, but a nod to the wider world and 'magic' via Bran would seem appropriate.

Jon just dropping dead would also work.

No worries on that score. The CGI budget are the watchers on the wall that protect the realms of men from Ghost doing anything cool.

I think the implication would be that something could happen in the last ep that causes a new threat to watch against?

Like what happens to Dany the Jon stabs her, fiery blade and all? What if she becomes the Fire Queen or something?

ONLY if it's made by a resurrected Golan-Globus as studio. But yes, I would be down.

Also, she finds King Solomon's Mines north of the Wall.

Abyss kind of beat me to it but that last episode was mainly about Arya and Jon turning against Dany? (If the episode actually means anything serious to the plot, which the one before it didn't, soooooo...). Jon doesn't break an oath easily so if Arya makes a move against Dany then she's either going through or around Jon. One constant in the series is how close Arya and Jon are so having something extreme happen to that relationship is the quickest and laziest route to a big ending! My money is on one of them having to take the other down to get to the big bad Dany.

Arya kills Jon and takes his face, kills Dany, then 'takes the black' and goes to the Wall.

Ghost sniffs through her disguise and eats her face.

The end.

Someone at work asked me about the bells today. Did the bells have something significant to Dany flipping out? Didn't Tyrion say something to Jaime about bells?

Or is it nothing?

The bells were simply the signal to end aggression because Dany's side had officially 'won.' It's what Tyrion asked of her at the beginning. Plot-wise, it means Dany's decision to destroy King's Landing came after she had already taken the city.

The filmic reason it looked like the bells were driving her crazy, like it's a horror movie in an episode of Mystery Science Theater, is because Benioff & Weiss are bad at their job.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Nah, she'd definitely decided by the time they had the conversation about the bells. It's why when they bring it up she ignores them and just nods at Grey Worm and tells him he'll know when to attack.
The wait while they rang is because she had just enough clarity left to know that was the point of no return. And then she lept over it.

I don't disagree, but that distinction isn't in opposition to what I said. She was decided (adjective) before the siege began. Later, in the moment -- recognizing it as the point of no return -- she decided (verb) to leap over it.

Yeah, the bells didn't cause anything. They are significant in what they show of Danys intent. She knew she had won, and torched the city anyway.

They also set up a dramatic moment with hope that the resolution is there, and then a shocking twist.

No. She made the decision last episode.

What in the hell. How narrow of a definition of "decide" did y'all decide to use to make this a debate? I'm just talking about Dany deciding to follow through on an intent she earlier decided to carry out. If you decide to go to the public pool this weekend and jump off the high dive, and then the weekend comes and you get to the top of the high diving board, you still decide to jump off. You don't have to like parse your words about when the 'real' decision actually happened.
