Literally the only people who fixing that mistake would affect are Gnaw and I anyway. Everyone else except Drek had passed by that point, and nothing either of us did affected anything that Drek did... Like, the Agenda phase wouldn't have come out any differently, except that there might have been an additional 3 votes on Sakulag.

Fixing this literally only affects me and Gnaw - and it means the difference between me actually having a game left instead of just sitting here with a thumb up my ass and hoping someone keeps me alive for the hell of it.

I think losing my War Sun and all my ships is a little more than just a small difference guys.

2 dreads are not the same as 1 War Sun. 2 Dreads and 1 cruiser had a 4% vs 88% chance of a win against what I had in Gwynan as opposed to the 1 War Sun, 1 Dread, 1 Cruiser which had a 33% vs 13%.

In short, I'd have a fucking chance now instead of no chance in hell.

Unfortunately I'm with Khell on this one. Too much has happened since and these types of mistakes happen all the time in complicated games like this. Unfortunately this mistake wrecked your game. It sucks. I know the feeling.

How would you know the feeling? I fixed any mistakes I made when running the last game.

Not to mention that Gnaw himself stalled the game last game because he disagreed with the way something was resolved about 3 turns after it had already been resolved. When I realized it was because I had missed something very important, I certainly went back and fixed it and had people replay their actions from that point.

Tricky one, hard to set a precedent on replaying that many turns, but it did only effect gnaw and blend, especially as no one caught it. I don't think it would have actually affected too much though, I'm sure gnaw would have shifted one of his tactical CT to strategic if it had been caught so he would have still taken gwynan no question. He probably would have not been able to take one of his moves though taking blends planet... Losing a CT doesn't account for the extra benefit of the move he did make taking a planet, readying it last round, and getting it this round, essentially gaining those resources twice without a penalty.

Perhaps undoing the xxhehan (as the move he made which he definitely would not have had the CT for) capture and reducing the resources for the build in mansa is more fair?

Either way it's a tricky one, rough on blend but gnaw had more than enough CT available to beat him.

I was talking about having your game wrecked. Mine happened in round 2. Try playing a game with your thumb up your ass for over 6 months. That sucked.

So how would you suggest we replay the end of the last round? Which CT would we take from Gnaw? A Tactical or a strategic? I'm sure Gnaw would have made changes all round with 1 less token. You are talking about replaying the entire round over again as the CT mistake happened at the end of last round.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

It’s not as simple as that, Blend. The CT mistake goes all the way back to the very beginning of last round, the end of strategy phase. So it doesn’t just affect the final turns of last round when only you and Gnaw were moving. You’re absolutely justified to be mad, I’m not disputing that, but I don’t see any simple fix.

I also, however, don’t consider your chances of keeping your War Sun last round if things had played differently all that much higher - that Direct Hit card was a huge threat. And let’s say that, for argument’s sake, Gnaw decided he couldn’t retake Gwynan. So shall I now give him Dal Bootha, Xxehan, Quann, Silvano as things he decided to take instead? Maybe he moves a large fleet to Muaat in anticipation of your attack. Or your War Sun gets to Dal Bootha, where Gnaw destroys it anyway with that Direct Hit, because actually you moved to him and now he could move more ships to your position to take it out.

IH does suggest one compromise (which I suspect would please neither of you) in taking Xxehan away and downgrading his final build (it also means he wouldn’t achieve his secret objective of having ships in six systems, I believe). I assume Gnaw will come back and say, at the very least, well I wouldn’t have played that refresh cultural planets action card then so I want that back.

This is why I am loth to go back. It’s shitty, really shitty, and any edits would also be shitty.

Listen, I'm done caring. But I think the fact that Gnaw now has an extra VP he may very well not have had if he couldn't build the War Sun should be another reason why it should be a mistake that's fixed.

But whatever.

Enjoy the rest of your game everyone.

The point shouldn't be to "punish" Gnaw. The point should be to "reparations" Blend.

Had I not built the War Sun I would have used the Logistics to build 2 dreads instead. Moved them to the asteroid field with Warfare. Then, whenyou brought your war sun to Dal Bootha, I'd have attacked with 3 Dread 2s.

Dead War Sun.
I still would have attacked Gwynan but with the carrier and troops from Herrah and the cruiser from Everra.

And Khell is right. I wouldn’t have used the last build and therefore would still have my action card.

Sure, and I’ve considered other options beyond ‘replaying turns’ such as giving Blend another War Sun, say plonked back in the supernova or Silvano (an extreme one - as I do believe that War Sun was going down one way or another last round, keeping in mind both Blend’s and Gnaw’s plans). Or giving him in TGs the resources he would have had from Gwynan, Xxehan etc had he still had them.

I pretty much said right away that I knew my War Sun likely would still have died. I wasn't arguing about losing the War Sun, I'm arguing about all the other ships you've killed that you might not have, and the systems/planets you took that you may not have.

But I would have had Infantry on Dal Bootha/Xxehan, so you may not have managed to take one of those, or even if I had left the infantry on Gwynan, you wouldn't have had as much bombardment before you invaded, and I would have likely had a cruiser and carrier in Quann, which meant that whole battle would have been different too depending on how you acted first.

But whatever, I've played my turn. Let's just finish this game.

Also, you have Flagship ticked off, not War Sun, in that graphic. I also would have had 2 fighters with the War Sun, so it's not that cut and dry.

Not to mention by your own admission in that image, you used your Dreads' capacity to bring 3 fighters, which means you wouldn't even have had infantry to invade Xxehan, which means you wouldn't have been able to claim the objective you did.

Fine. We can maybe actually do this without disrupting anyone else's game. 1 CT short in Strategy means I would have had 1 less in Tacical because I would have put that one into strategy.

How many troops would you have brought with you to Dal Bootha? You had 2 in Gwynan with your carrier and zero fighters left. A cruiser in the fireball. And 2 infantry on Quann. And I had a carrier and 4 infantry in Herrah. I would have built 3 dreads (same resources as the war sun), and 3 infantry with the logistics build.

Edit: actually it's the next turn where things would have been different. I would have used warfare to move 2 dreads with 2 fighters to the asteroid field. My tactical would have been to move the cruiser and 1 fighter in Mansa to Quann to block. Now what would you have done?

Edit 2; no that’s not true. I would still have attacked Gwynan. But with the 2 dreads from the asteroid field, the cruiser from Everra, and the carrier from Herrah.

I did have 2 fighters that I created with Star Forge, they were in the fight that we did over Gwynan.

Anyway, doesnt matter.

I'll agree to this. The PDS in Nevant. I have a card that destroys that. It will stop firing on me every time I move. Its served its purpose, would it piss you off greatly if I removed it? It also allows me to stall whilst you move.

Well that's a bothersome error. I agree with Khell though, mistakes happen, and it's rough trying to fix something that happened so far back. Still, sucks to be Blend. I understand his frustration.
