Why do you keep leaving planets empty tatts? The extra planets and TGs you keep giving d'rek is really messing up my ability to plan!

As I said, I knew if they were empty that she'd move a force into them, I was hoping for the dread too tbh.

One turn use of A/N gives her the CT back it cost her to activate the system, and her having it costs you production, influence and votes.
On top of that, she gets 4 TG when you attack, it costs you 1 CT to activate the system and you'll likely suffer losses during that invasion just to take back what you held, with no real chance of reinforcing your fleet if you plan to conquer more.

Understand all of that, before the round started though I was in a similar position with quite a lot of her ships threatening me. I knew if I wanted Corneeq back and her ships moved I would have to move ALL ships so that she would lose the ships on retreat and that if she built in her home system and decided she wants to attack me (which she did) that i'll offer an easier system for her to take than the one with my good ships in.

If I left her alone then she could have built the ships in her homeworld and used the ships in Corneeq to take my systems with a much bigger force.

Thirdly, I know my chance of winning was blown the moment I took Mallice and D'rek took Jord. I've been clawing back since, but left alone D'rek may have been in a position to win. So my game is left to force her to address me. She may be able to get a few objectives done but she will keep having to be cautious about me and spend CT's my way.

War Suns only have 6 capacity Gnaw. You can't bring 4 infantry and 4 fighters. And from the map you only have 3 to bring anyway.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Yeah but if you'd left 1 infantry on each planet... She probably wouldn't have taken it in the first place, and with integrated economy, destroyer 2 and assault cannon she's now built the perfect force to withstand your fighter swarms.

I'm sure you have a strategy tatts it just doesn't make sense to me :p

Ah well let's see what you pull off next turn.

Gnaw. You sir failed to uphold your end of the deal. You were to veto the other law that gained Morgoth the extra action card. That is twice within 1 round you have broken your word. Would you care to explain?

Yeah, I fucked you twice this round. I'm sitting between two War Sun techs now and that changes the situation. I still have a shot at winning and Morgoth getting a couple extra action cards is more preferable to having that shard floating around.

Nothing that you agreed to changes the above situation. You still would have gotten the war sun tech by waiting until after you used Leadership and if anything you took more away from Morgoth by lowering his VP total by vetoing the shard. And by breaking your deals with me so easily what do you think Morgoth must be thinking. Probably that Gnaw's word isnt what I thought and he is actually focused on winning so he is probably ready to turn on me soon so I need to strike first. As there seems to be no good reason for you to break your word and seems to carry added negative consequences I have to think what could be the real reason he shafted me yet again. The only logical reason I can come up with is... Spite? If not please enlighten me because that is the only answer that makes any sense to me.

It had nothing to do with you other than you were the victim of the lies.

The moment I realized that Morgoth had war sun tech you were fucked. Due to the order in which the strategy cards were obviously going to fall, by playing the racial instead of Leadership I had the opportunity to:
  • Gain war sun tech,
  • Use Diplomacy to refresh 7 resources,
  • Use Logistics to build a war sun without tying it down with a CT.
The repeal law was about
  • keeping my TGs so that I can use QDN.
  • not having to give my PN to Morgoth in exchange for being 'unneighborly' by repealing the action card law

^^^ That was my thought process. Not an excuse.

And, no, I'm probably not going to give you my SftT as apology. Maybe Blend will choose you first for his racial; I suspect he'll be handing that out like candy now..

I'd be interested in working out a deal, what do you want for it?

I don't think I'll have the resources or the means to make much use of it so I can't pay mega bucks, but an extra tech is always of interest.

Gnaw you did what you did and it is what it is but I just want to point out by swapping using Leadership and Blends racial pn would have still gotten you the same results. As for the trade goods situation you OFFERED Morgoth those trade goods as an apology. You didn't need to do that but as you so easily did with me you could have just as easily done to Morgoth who is the points leader by the way.
I don't know what I'm doing but it sounds good.

Have you passed yet this round?

I'll give to anyone who hasn't passed yet this round for free so that we can get more War Suns on the board before Gnaw knocks me out of the game.

If I'm still alive next round I'll give it to you then.

In the meantime, Drek, you interested in free War Sun tech?
