Blend, my plan is to move the dread next turn. Unless I can convince you to let me take a single shot at a fighter. I’ll give the SftT right back; hell post it after the invasion.
Puhlease

Apparently I only have a 52% chance at winning with a carrier and 2 fighters against a dreadnought. The way rolls have been going here, I'd really rather not risk having your dreadnought destroy me. What happens if you don't hit on the first round of space combat and then retreat? You still don't get the tech... I can leave an infantry behind on my way out if that would work for you?

I'm just going to have to come to terms with the fact that self-vote suiciding will forever be referred to as "pulling a JPK" now, aren't I? ~ JPK

If I agreed to letting your dread take a shot, I think I'd need something a bit more, given you'll be getting War Suns outta this whole kerfuffle.

I announce retreat, taking the infantry with me, prior to combat. I only get one shot.
  • Worst case scenario for you is you lose a fighter
  • Worst case for me is you get 2 hits and I lose the dread and infantry
  • What I’m hoping is I get a hit and you get 0 or 1.

And you'll be getting my antivirus, a red tech, and a VP. So I think it's a fair enough swap.

But we can do the infantry thing. Means I have to bring more than one on the reinvasion.

True, but Mansa III is empty and I'll clear out Silvano for you if you need me to after I've used it for resources.

Tapper and Nom, what cards are y’all wanting. Technology is obviously a good choice for me and there’s a possibility I might take a different one.

Technology is on top of my list, especially with the dual upgrade VP condition, but I am sure we can come to an agreement where I take Politics or Construction instead.

Macaw - you guys still good for a 3:3?

Tapper/Nom - either of you willing to do a 1:1 with me?

Yep, 1:1 is fine.
If Nom does a 1v1 with you, I am fine with trading for his remaining commodities, too, so he reaches max TG.

@Tapper - sorry, I offered an exchange to you and then immediately turned around and gave all my commods to Twelve, leaving you out to dry. Didn't mean for it come off like that. If you want to swap any amount of your commodities into TGs I'll use my TGs to help you do so.

I would vastly appreciate that. Would that offer stand until the end of the round (or until you spend your TG, of course), so I can trade-then-spend in chunks of 2 TG?

Blend could use 1 or 2 of those if you can. I had to spend one of mine paying my half of morgoth's fee so can only trade him 2:2.

And it is your turn.

Sure, no problemo!

I’ve just started watching it, they seem a ways in (there’s big fleets on the board) but no one’s taken MR yet. And one of them is playing Yin, so I’m interested to see how that goes!

So I just learned something: Remember that time in the first game when Blend had my Trade Agreement but I refused to refresh despite having a free refresh? Yeah, the living rules specify that you can't do that - if you're given a free refresh, you HAVE to refresh commodities :D

Also interesting is how one person has built up a large lead quickly - they're in the fourth round and one person has 5 VP while the others are all on either one or zero still.

But the guy on 5 VP (playing Sardakk) has done a Tatts and expanded too far too fast - now he's being taken out by the Yin guy, who's threatening his homeworld.

And now I've discovered that there's a TI4 map generator site - but obviously the most players they balance for is 6 :D

Yeah, I learned that since our first game, too!

Weirdly, they are doing the status phase in speaker order rather than initiative order, which I'm 99.99999% sure is wrong.

He has MR though, and is so far ahead in VP... he could potentially now just try his best to hold his homeworld and MR and accumulate points slower, but with such a headstart that he still reaches 10 first.

And now you can see how the "real" Agenda Phase goes

Much faster :D

Although they appear to have misunderstood laws - she put a Tech Rider on the law 'passing' but the law (elect a planet to make it a blue tech planet) was always going to pass, but the question is which planet was it going to be!
