American Eagle's stock soars after Trump praises Sydney Sweeney ad

[...] calling it "the "HOTTEST" ad out there." Shares of American Eagle surged; they closed more than 23% higher. [...] He also previously described Sweeney ad as "fantastic" after he was told she was a registered Republican.

[...] Even with Monday's gains, the stock is down 21% this year. [...] It lost $85 million during the three months that ended in May, with sales falling 3%.

And while Trump's words are boosting the company's stock, [the company] told investors on an earnings call in May that tariffs would cost the company $40 million

Get a grip people.

This from the same side of the political aisle (if you are still on that side BK; I don't know if Trump being a Pedo has swayed you to the left yet) had a complete and total meltdown over (checks notes) a trans woman daring to be featured in a Bud Lite ad...to the point of it being a Fox News talking point for weeks AND idiotic people like Kid Rock shooting cases of Bud Lite...

And a meltdown over the plot of Superman including themes such as *check notes* themes common in Superman since *checks note* his first publication

This is just further evidence of how far gone the USA is as a society...the mad king cannot seemingly be stopped.

I don’t think that comparison was as one sided as your post wants it to be. Certainly publicly I ll actually give you that. Privately though I mean it really doesn’t seem so and I definitely don’t agree people were “melting down” they were laughing at a very out of left field sponsorship of a brand associated with the working man and horny college kids of whose 99.4% male consumers haven’t ever worn a dress except for losing a fantasy football bet or frat hazing and that ribbing lasted for a while yes. You ll say that boycott didn’t work out but then why did they distance themselves from that ad? I don’t think the right alone put that big a squeeze on their wallet.

Now say whatever you want about Kid Rock(I only like Only God Knows Why) but he did unleash some very funny one up manship over on the Twitter. I particularly like anything to do with Tannerite and steamrollers. Boom, smush.

I do find your attempt to draw my blood by cutting up my post in a neg way to better fit your side v side interesting. I said other things in it and not once did I go right vs left.
Drive by bye bye king on my dumb horse

I was talking about publicly. So we agree. Privately is not something either of us could quantify. I was referring to the Fox News/NewsMax/right wing Twitter/Republican freak out over it.

Referring to trans people as "wearing a dress" is kind of what I'm talking about. Besides, lots of horny college kids can find trans women attractive without feeling it impinges on their manhood in any way. Beauty is beauty.

Any bad press is still going to be considered bad to shareholders, and shareholders will demand the CEO fix the situation. That's normal. And I never commented on the boycott at all. I could care less, it's bud lite...a shit watery American beer. I was only commenting on the
public outrage aspect.

You mean Robert James Ritchie? The guy from an affluent white Michigan family who grew up in a mansion and went to an expensive prep school, only to then spend his adult life playing the role of Redneck Country Bumpkin like it's cosplay? That guy? He's not really funny, and ripping silly comebacks on twitter is a pretty poor pastime.

I wasn't trying to draw blood man. I'm trying to be respectful while also calling out a hypocrisy in saying "get a grip", and at the same time admittedly trying to nail down if your siding with Trump has gone down in the last few years...because like it or not that man is affecting lots of people in the world, including my own livelihood on the daily, as is the party of Republicans who could hold him to account but refuse to...and everyone being affected by his antics who don't live in the states are having to just deal with the choices of the people who voted for Trump. It is what it is. If you think that's trying to draw blood, then we perceive things differently.

He came down from his heavenly mansion to cosplay as a redneck---just like Go* cosplaying as Jesus.

Or Trump. In his various blue collar outfits. Pretending to drive a truck while making silly pseudo-tough guy faces.
