we are planning to have a production blog, ship and set designs online, a forum, chat (with cast, on occasion...with SE and his co-writers if it's popular enough), web cams of production (though released after the fact...maybe...or live feeds...depending on the bandwidth it would require)

...malazan unit sigils are something i've always wanted to do...cast pewter with hard enamel i think would suit best...bridgeburners first, i think...

'The Dark' would be the other SE-script movie you've been talking about?

oh, sure. and berlin alexanderplatz is what, 8 hours long?

but the point is that those 4-hr hindi movies aren't being made by hollywood production companies, and they tend to make their money on the indian subcontinent (where conditions probably differ--i don't know much about the economics of bollywood). in the united states, though, the circumstances are very much as i outlined. exhibitors take a heavy loss when they can't turn the house over multiple times daily.
