I'm starting to really like this game
Tho I still have no idea what I'm doing beyond the immediate phase and I'm expecting my head to hurt once all the proper negotiations start

You should add Cruiser II to your technology list, as well.
Personally, I'm not a fan of the "complete trade with ____" notations, as it adds a bunch of confusion to the timing of trades (did the C/TGs transfer on gnaw's turn or yours? Were they 'in transit' between your turns? If someone stole forced you to reduce your TGs by half in-between your and Gnaw's/Khell's turns, how much would you decrease it by if the transfer is non-instant?) but that's just my opinion and others disagree.
Well I thought the commodities only become tgs by the start of my turn like I think you yourself said sometime earlier but I can put it away if you guys don't do it this way, don't really have that much time to look up how exactly should everything be listed in my game posts as I'm using all of it to figure out the technicalities(yeah yeah not a word) of the game mechanics so please point out any inconsistencies as it allows me to learn them much faster this way than looking it all up
edit: game thread post edited
Blend's mod, so I'll leave it to him to describe how he wants to do it.
In a tabletop game, and in the last forum game, any transfer of commodities or trade goods (or action cards, or promissory notes...) is instantaneous. So if you and Gnaw exchange trade goods, you would want to be very clear about on who's turn and when within the turn said instantaneous transfer occurs, while posting about it in 2 separate places muddles that.

Through Pillage, you have powerful leverage to make people negotiate within the terms you are comfortable with, especially once a Trade related Objective hits the table. In addition, your Flagship is great for evening out the odds against more expensive dreadnought/ war sun fleets, making it very hard to bully you with military strength.
You don't want to do a complicated three-way deal? Just say you don't. Mentak get away with that a whole lot easier than most, I think.
For negotiations, I found last game that breaking things down into Trade Goods helps.
A Command Token is worth 3 Influence, or 3 Trade Goods if you buy it outright.
A Cruiser is 2 production ==> 2 TG. When people ask you to turn off Pillage, you can break Pillage down into X TG per turn, as well, based on how much they have and how much they receive: from a player with 3 Commodities, you can expect (at the least) 1 TG, but a player with 4 commodities, you might expect (almost) 2, based on the amount of transactions they make.
Everyone is entitled to his own wrong opinion. - Lizrad

I agree, it could confuse more than clarify. When one of the players in the negotiation posts the trade (as long as it's a valid action at that point), I don't think there's need for the second player to repeat the transaction in their post - just add/subtract whatever it was from your status.

It looks like Saar are coming in our direction, Tapper and D'rek because the Mentak will block them off the other way.

And if you *really* want to, maybe it'd be better to phrase it as "Changes since my last turn: traded 2 tgs with Gnaw on Gnaw's turn" rather than "Complete trade with Gnaw"

Awesome roleplay Khell and Tapper
They are. Being able to move their space docks with their ships and build at said factory all in the same turn is extremely powerful. Getting trade goods for every planet they take (unencumbered by Mentak taxes, now) just makes them even more likely to be building more forces every time they move.

If you destroy their spacedock are the screwed unless they get the construction card?

I'm nowhere near you and you're already thinking of ways to destroy me. That is so Saarist of you. Get with the times Tatts, we're sentient beings too! And you, D'rek, shame on you scaremongering like that. I thought you were a more woke individual than that. Haven't the Lazax been through something similar?
Also no, as I could rebuild a factory with the construction secondary as well.

Pretty much (primary or secondary). But you have to wipe out the entire fleet to kill the space dock (unless Khell leaves it out of position).

Lazax/L1z1x are... pretty racist. Or at least pretty tolerant of racism. We allowed the Saar to be exploited all throughout our reign. We didn't care that the Jol-Nar basically enslaved an entire race. And now we're cyborgs. Sooooooooooo, no?
