My "wants" for my race pick were (a) versatile, since I wasn't sure how the meta will go, {b} doesn't use any mechanics that are different from 3rd edition and will trip me up, © fun to roleplay. L1z1x met all of those well, though I was also heavily considering Arborec and Yin.
You might be thinking "L1z1x aren't versatile, they're just a conquest race!" but that's not true. They're very well-suited to diversifying your research into all the colours (as opposed to, say, Arborec who have a huge focus on getting green techs), and my "super-dreadnoughts" don't actually have any better combat or bombardment rolls than regular dreadnoughts - what they get is extra capacity, letting me cut down on the number of carriers I have to build and streamlining my initial resource spending. Using Inheritance Systems will be expensive, but it gives me a lot of strategic flexibility for how things go in the end-game if I didn't prepare for whichever stage 2 objectives come up. And yes, if it comes to fighting Harrow and Assimilate will be excellent tools, too. Lots of little perks for various playstyles, though with obvious political and trade weaknesses, too.

You know, we don't need to wait for Blend to keep the tiles going. Tapper has already confirmed on-thread he's putting Arnor/Lor as #10.
Twelve, if you are here, why not confirm on-thread what you are placing in #11, then Tatts can post his #12 choice, and so on. Might end up doing a whole 'nother ring and people can adjust their PM picks if necessary before Blend returns.

Which makes total sense.

I have created an updated map with those hexes, but as we progress through the next 3 sets we'll have to wait til I get home tonight.

I wonder why the Chatty thread isn't open, may as well transfer all this to that?
Well, frankly, I wasn't really expecting there to be so much negotiation involved in the map building. I kind of expected everyone to just tell me where they wanted their 5 hexes, and that would be that, so the plan was to only open the Chatty Thread once the map was built and we were starting the real game.

Just need ItWasBliss to confirm their next placement then I can move on to the next set.

Personally I don't mind a clear thread once the game starts

Galaxy is looking very sparse, going to be a very different game from last time!

I've made a mistake. Hex 18 should be Grallon and not Xull.

Alright, and with that, everyone's provisionals would now work to finish up the game map.
I'd appreciate if everyone could confirm that their provisionals for the remaining three tiles are good to go, and I'll post the rest.
I believe that Twelve, Tapper, and maybe IH have already confirmed, but just to be certain, I'd appreciate if everyone did.
If someone wants to keep going one round at a time as we have been doing, let me know, and that's what we'll do!

Probably a lot less static borders on the edges. A lot more incentive to take planets from one of your neighbours if there's nothing but blanks and anomalies towards the center.
