I was being sarcastic too. And it's not my fault Tapper began negotiations with me and then disappeared before we were done. This deal drastically changes what I'm going to do for the round so I'm going to wait until he comes back on. If it feels like stalling I apologize but I'm not going to throw my game away because people are impatient with me.

Say Twelve gets Mec Rex this round, then him getting Imperial would be a big no, or even score an immediate objective would be a no, same with you actually, you have obviously said this AFTER you have researched a secret objective so there may be one you can fulfil next round. Blend is the obvious choice, him, IH, Nico and myself do not have much VP's to be a threat. No matter what I do I don't think I can win at this stage but I can affect who will win.

Very curious as to what twelves plan was for the extra trade goods as he can't build ships, presumably integrated economy has something to do with it.

Yes, duh, if the situation changes then obviously there could be better choices for Speaker. But at the moment Twelve doesn't have his homeworld, so cannot win. That's why I said that Morgoth seems in pole position and I would make best Speaker - as the situation seems right now. This really has nothing to do with me trying to do something for myself, indeed I've wasted another CT on an impossible tech SO.

I really don't understand how he intends to do that this round though. He hasn't even built another space dock. But yes, leaving Politics as long as possible would be advisable. If it looks like he could take back the homeworld, then yes, someone like Blend might be better (though I suspect you yourself would have ulterior motives for wanting that, but I'll try to climb out of the same suspicion pit from where you view my suggestion ).

Might be some strong action cards maybe. Or he aims to wear me down using the three cannons within range and several activations of Jol-Nar. It's hard to say. I don't have a serious expectation of hanging onto Jol Nar, but preventing Twelve from scoring this round should be all I need to keep him from winning I hope.
