Hah! I’ve stated that I would have taken Mecatol if it was the only option available to me, but I chose another option when I had it. This is not a game with more than one victor, but that doesnt mean I can’t prioritize the options that do not harm my allies, like Gnaw. I’d be surprised if he expected me to deliberately lose in order to keep the alliance going, I certainly do not expect that of him.

Morgoth appears to be inexorably moving into pole position to take victory next round. One of the best ways to hinder him would be to give him the least amount of choice in strategy picks. Ergo, pick me, his leftiest neighbour, for Speaker, and Morgoth will have the least choice possible.
