That was so good. Probably my favourite so far. Proper Clone Wars bounty hunter episode.

I liked how they managed to show how intimidating droids can be when they're not entirely CG - against normal humans they have a strength and weight you don't get from the animated versions.

Packed episode, will watch that again for sure. Kind of wish he'd killed them all though?

Darksaber. The only Mandalorian to become a Jedi had it made like 1000 years ago, and it became a symbol of power for the Mandos. They passed power and the saber onto whoever beat the leader - Maul beat Pre Vizla to become master of Deathwatch during the Clone Wars, then Sabine liberated it back from the Nightsisters on Dathomir during Rebels. She gave it to Satine's sister, Bo Katan. We don't know yet how Moff Gideon ended up with it yet, but it might well mean he beat Bo Katan.

We might even get to see how in the new Clone Wars in February, which covers the siege of Mandalore.

I almost forgot to add one of my favorite piece to ep8., even one that had the wife happy.

IG-11 removes Mando's helmet in order to administer the first aid, and although we knew Mando has been played and voiced by Pedro Pascal, but getting to see him, however briefly, made my night. The wife squeeled as we both still can't get him out of our head as The Red Viper of Dorne, our hands down favorite character from GoT.

After reading Viper's part in the book, mostly the fight scene with the Mountain, I thought No way can someone pull this off satisfactory. The rest is history. Pedro Pascal was beautiful in Got and I was glad to see he got some face time, however small.

Excellent first season, so many possibilities about where to go from here. Hopefully Filoni and Favreau already have an idea or can manage it without the Disney suits or rabid fanboys distracting them.

The Scout troopers couldn't shoot for shit when not using Plot Aiming™.
Did anyone else notice one was Jason Sudeikis? Speaking of the (many) cameos, it's like a lot of people didn't notice the three X-wing pilots in the prisoner episode were Chow, Filoni and ... another behind the camera guy I can't remember offhand.

I think a Mandalorian walk-on cameo or voiceover/ST role is going to be the new hotness. Seeing as so many have been done already in the TV show and the big ones in the Sequel Trilogy.

Jumping back into rebels now. Which, about halfway through season 2 is getting really good.


Not trying to start a debate in this thread also, but i'm enjoying Star Wars so damn much ignoring the new movies and just watching Clone Wars/Rebels/Mando and my prequel/original re watch.

You know, I had heard a little while back that Rosario Dawson was an Ahsoka fan and was lobbying to play her if she was ever in anything live action. At first I couldn't really see it but then I saw a side by side closeup of Rosario's and Ahsoka's faces and I got on board. This is excellent news! I felt very strongly that at least SOMEONE from Rebels was going to appear or be referenced in S2 of the Mandalorian. They will have to be VERY careful with applying her head pieces/montralls, etc. Ahsoka does not look much like Shaak Ti, in my opinion. The same would be true if Hera ever gets live action casting. Hera does not look like either of the Twileks that appeared in S1 of Mandalorion. Frankly, she's quite a bit prettier.


Thanks to Covid 19, we're going to need the patience of Yoda while waiting to see this. Hopefully the rumored Rebels sequel will still arrive later this year to tide us over!

I don't know if I've ever been this existed about a casting before. Honestly, Ahsoka is my second fave Star Wars character of all time after Obi-Wan...so getting to see her in live action is going to be a treat. I DO hope we see her dual white lightsabers in action...I expect the darksaber showing up (an item she's seen more than once before) is a part of that.

So Disney+ finally arrived here today! And there's only two episodes of the Mandalorian?

It kinda takes the piss. Wait 4 months... then they stagger the release. Probably so the free trial doesn't cover it.

That said, I liked the staggered episodes, and having to wait for each Thursday for another fix. The first two released a day apart, then the rest once a week. It gave me time to rewatch each one while I was waiting - and believe me it's worth waiting for.

I'm still glad I watched them all when it hit the US though.

Allegedly the name slipped was Temura Morrison. That means FUCKING REX will be in S2 of MANDO!

I mean it could also be Boba Fett...but why bother have Fett take his helmet off?...when you can have Rex.

That said, Fett could be voiced by Morrison.

I mean, it makes sense and I'd have already asked for it...but man that is some EXCELLENT news.

Rex is confirmed to be in ROTJ as part of the strike team that takes out the shield generator on the forest moon...and that was the last we saw of him...but we also know that post ROTJ Ahsoka and Sabine headed out into the unknown regions to find Ezra (and Thrawn)...so this is either AFTER that trip or a part of that trip since MANDO is 7 years post-ROTJ.
