Disney streaming is already a win for anyone with kids who watch Disney stuff on constant repeat. So I’m down.

It's just gonna be Hannah Montana episodes and High School Musical: https://techcrunch.com/2018/02/09/disneys-streaming-service-wont-have-r-rated-films/
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

maybe, and this might be incredibly controversial, but maybe at some point they could try making a movie or show taking place outside of that same 30 year window. Just a thought.

... are you referring to Hannah Montana? I don't know how good Miley's going to look in 20 years is all.

I think a show featuring Diego Luna would be really cool, get his backstory and what not. I'm sure there'll be a lot of cool spy type stuff which would be neat.
As far as the streaming service goes I'm not sure, we'll have to see how expensive it is and if we get all the same stuff here in Canada, unlike Netflix where we get nothing compared to the states. Otherwise I just may have to watch it on some shitty streaming site.

Although, as YouTuber Jenny Nicholson pointed out....they (Disney) turfed the anthology movies because the prequel to the near-OT-era one with the roguish lead male character flopped hard...only to set up a new TV series prequel featuring a roguish lead male character in the near-OT-era.
It's...odd as a decision to say the least.
But I love Diego Luna, and his performance as Cassian makes me in for this anyways...

If they can capture the dynamic between him and KillDroid, it will be a fun show to watch. They just need a cool spaceship and you effectively have a potentially terrific buddy action drama set in the SWverse.
Hell, on its face that has more potential for success than THE MANDALORIAN.

Sure, but they'll also launch a parallel 'adult' service called 'D Edge' and change double for it,
...along with the separate Marvel streaming and whatever else they assimilate.

Is this normally how new shows are pitched? A lot of the Anthology and side projects seem to be just launched with a name and no details.
Rian Johnson Trilogy...is a trilogy by Rian Johnson.
Trilogy by GOT directors... is a trilogy by the GOT directors.
The Mandalorian... has at least one Mandalorian in it.
Solo had Han Solo in it.
Kenobi would have had Kenobi in it.
Now this show has Diego Luna in it.
And this is all I know about these projects. Obviously more details will be released as we get closer to release, but as a strategy, I think they could use more vague descriptions, but we're mostly just getting names. The exception is Resistance.
Rogue One had 'this is how the Rebels got the Death Star'. One sentence, but I know what it's about. I don't know what the Mandalorian is doing in the Mandalorian.
Maybe I'm just not paying attention, or it's way too early for details, but I need more than a character name to get hyped for something (exception: Kenobi)
'This is a Mandalorian... on this Planet, doing this.' Is it normal for something like that to be out by now, or am I being unreasonable?

I like it, it's more teaser. The Mandalorian at least hints at a true Mandalorian, different from the pretenders that were the Fetts, who just used the armour. I want to know why he's not on Mandalore, which side/clan he was on during the civil war, whether he's related to any known characters like Vizla or Bo Katan, or even has a connection to Sabine.
I'd guess he's unlikely to be a bounty hunter, as the Fetts did that. Mandalorian armour is passed down through families, I don't believe they'd name the series that way if it's just someone else who acquired armour. I'm confident in the team making it, and quite glad it's not something where we already know where the story is going and where the characters end up before it's even begun.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

It’s going to be a woman wearing the armor, pretending to be a man.

Shut off your phone/tablet/computer, go have a victory drink, order some pizza, maybe have some sex... whatever, just go because nothing you do for the next 48 hours is going to be nearly as clever or funny as those words right there and you should bask in the moment.

I think he's a good choice, we know he's a decent actor at least. But I definitely thought it would be a woman as well.
Do we know when this show is going to be released? 2019, 2020?

Disappointed it's not a woman, but happy to see Pascal get more leading work. He's amazing!

Saw that Netflix had Solo up. I never bought it. Hmm I wonder if my son will want to rewatch it with me..
I watched it again this past weekend, I really liked it. If you don't compare him to Harrison Ford's version it's really a fun movie. Makes me sad they put the other anthologies on hold because of TLJ backlash and bad release date for Solo.

I heard a rumour that one of the new trilogies (Rian Johnson or the GOT guys) is going to be based in the old republic times. Not sure how accurate that news is but that'd be awesome!

I'm looking forward to Obi Wan. If they can fit this much stuff into Mando they'll have a ball with that era. And Deborah Chow at the helm..
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.
