You might want to change that to Rogue One. (Rouge One made me think of Red Dwarf.)

I'd love to see some crossover with Rebels. There's also potential for some more Vader..

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Rogue.Not Rouge.Rogue.

....and so long as Mads Mikkelsen eats at least one Stormtrooper, I'm so there.

Is Rouge One about:

The Empire has designed the ultimate blusher and the rebels want to crush the cosmetics giant before it swallows the galaxy in a puff of make-up?

The Empire has set up the first musical brothel in the galaxy and Ewan McGregor has to infiltrate it to rescue a princess sold into prostitution.

Things were not always rosy on the forest moon of Endor. An insurgency appeared and this jungle film will follow the freedom fighters as they lash out against the empire.

The Empire has cornered the market on jambalaya and an intrepid rebel chef sets out to steal the recipe and bring Creole cuisine to the galaxy.
Trust me, I'm a doctor.

Teaser trailer leaked online....watch it before it's yanked. Possibly fake as the logo still lists it as Anthology and the spinoff films have been revised to "A Star Wars Story" instead. So, grain of salt.

The Mon Mothma lady looks spot on to her 83 ROTJ actress.

She's the same actress who played Mothma in ROTS as well.

Well, that trailer was really good I thought. I think I'll have to go see this in the cinema. I am also looking forwards to the manbaby outrage that will be born from a second SW with a female lead.

It's already started on some sites sadly...it's disgsuting how many sexist, fragile manchildren are out there. I love that there ia a second film with a female lead!

Ha. We currently have 14 STAR WARS films in existence or development:

Eps 1-7 (made)
Rogue One (made)
Ep 8 (shooting)
Ep 9 and Han Solo movie (pre-production)
Obi-Wan, Boba Fett & Yoda movies (in development, not greenlit)

Of those 14 movies, 10 have a male lead (or 9 male and 1 male CG muppet). 4 have a female. But the male leads are split between six characters (Anakin, Luke, Han, Obi-Wan, Fett and Yoda) and the female between two (Rey and Jyn Erso). So it's an utterly irrelevant non-argument. The women aren't taking over yet, and in fact have a way to go to reach parity. And so far we haven't had a single SW film with a lead PoC (unless you are counting Finn as a co-lead, which no-one really seems to be doing). Well, unless Yoda (green) counts.

What, for real? Rey was hot, and awesome. Why would anyone complain about reducing her air time.

Plus doesn't Anakin count as a female lead, he was a whiney little bitch anyways. "I HATE SAND!!"

I ll have to watch the deleted scenes for Ep 3.

I'm willing to bet 100% we get Rebels name drops. 2% a Rebel will appear onscreen.

I'll take those odds. What will you bet?

I'm quite impressed that someone has managed to defend TFA against the MRA's and mysoginists attacking it by being even more sexist.

When I first saw the trailer, and saw another female protagonist, it just immediately made me deeply happy.

She looks to be a strong character, but also a great contrast to Rey. I just can't wait for this. Those Death Star shots are amazing.
So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

It still feels weird being excited for a new Star Wars movie. But in a good way. It's genuinely stirring.

Agreed. Some things, and people, are better with a past that is hinted at. Yoda has already been totally changed imo from his character in the OT; I'd hate to see that happen to the other original characters.

That said.. those making these films are and have been fans themselves, they know these risks, they know the stakes. You never know, they might put a trailer out that will change your mind. Well cast, good actors and writing could.. could just make it work.

So... is that the super laser being put into the death star or is that thing genuinely like retractable.

Also @@'s!
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....
