Some extended gameplay footage beyond where the E3 mission cut off. This looks so sick! My hopes are getting higher for sure. I hope Iím not disappointed. My biggest argh is the large damage text. It looks strange but we will probably get use to it shortly. Still I wouldnít mind if they reduce the size of numbers before launch. Weapons are sick! Flight is sick! Map is sick!

I agree that that extended play made it look a lot better than what was shown at E3, which makes it all the more confusing as to why they didn't show this.

The way the abilities synergise and the fact that there seem to be proper differences between the classes (and sub-classes, like the approach of the two Colossi on the team) is encouraging (unlike in Destiny). The explosions and effects were also all suitably bombastic and cool.

So yeah, cautious optimism.

Since I'd only be playing it solo, I envision this to be worth buying @ an Origin sale for 15 CAD.

Game Informer posted a Q&A with the project lead, and he said the game's core loop is comparable to Diablo, but with all the traditional "Bioware bits" still kind of there, to be expereinced outside of combat.

I'm kinda mildly interested, but probably a few years down the line.

I ll def be a day one player with a showing like that. It looks amazeballs. Hopefully the story will follow. Really hoping they show some Storm and Interceptor footage soonish to. The brief Storm in action looks sick. Not a fan of the looks of Colossos but those explosions were making me explode.

I donít think itís Diablo style though I havenít played that. I think thatís an overhead POV. This will be over the shoulder 3rd person.

The loot mechanics are what the dev was referring to-the gameplay loop is supposed to be like an action RPG.

The comparison to Diablo is understandable since Borderlands (which inspired Destiny, which inspired Anthem) started out as "Diablo with guns".

If it's like Borderlands but a bit more serious, fine.

But I haven't got faith that it's not going to be a shallow lootbox hell because that's what EA does nowadays.

I'm really not all that excited or hyped for this. Looks like it's implementing decision/consequence trees. Doubt it has any meaningful impact on the campaign. We'll see I guess.

Huh I could have sworn this was an XB exclusive. Just ordered D2 annual pass and noticed this was on PS Store.

My Xbox gets no love. Given the choice I ll choose PS for this game. Dammit.

Getting kinda excited and hoping for a nice product. Iím trying to find out if there are any exclusive features between the systems but canít really find anything other then the confusion on 1st look that it was an Xbox exclusive the way it was presented. My gut says go with PS4 but I need to knock the dust off the collector that is my Xbox. I would pretty pissed if they pulled off a Destiny 1 1yr type of thing with Hawkmoon. Not like I wonít find out on release day though. Ha

The demo is a mess, hopefully not indicative of the final Product. In four hours of playing, maybe a bit more, I experienced an infinite loading screen bug 2 times, had the demo crash twice and was booted from the server twice. Both game sessions ended when my friends and I had felt like battling the bugs had taken away too much fun.

The demo is also a barebones experience. A lot of story has been cut. Which is a shame because I think if it wants to be better than destiny it needs a story, any story. Something to explain why I kill everything that is not me.

Gameplay wise the comparison to destiny is unavoidable. However I think it has a few pluses. The world is beautiful and very large and open and multi-tiered. But not seamless! Flying is awesome. You can double jump, hover or fly and you feel very free. Creates lots of dodging opportunities n fights and is often the only way to maneuver to an enemy weak point.

Another plus over destiny is you get two weapons, 2 special attacks, a support ability and an ultimate but the cool downs on all of these things is relatively quick. Can use them all multiple times in a fight. So the action seems more intense than destiny which often devolved into just a shooter as your ability cool downs were minutes long.

The demo leaves me where I started. Cautiously optimistic but worried it will go the same way as deetiny. Worth playing but perhaps not the amazing Experience we have been promised.
